I visited Esteros deal Iberá from Colonia Carlos Pellegrini after reading about this relatively undiscovered corner of Argentina. It's their equivalent of the Pantanal in Brazil and the wildlife is similar. Capybaras graze next to the enormous Iberá lake and black caiman laze in the...More

A wonderful, old-time estancia in the same family for many generations. A working cattle ranch. I don't know how many cabañas they have for guests, but it looked like quite a few. Staff were wonderful: good meals were served on time. Carlos, a gaucho and...More

Must go in the north of Argentina! Bit difficult to get there, but tours start from an office right next to the terminal in Mercedes. Everyday from 8.00.

If you love fauna & flora, this is a must. Natural reserve preserving yacares, capibaras, birds, wild cats, deers, carayas, etc, etc. Can take a tour by trekking as well as by boat... You'll appreciate different species in its natural environment.
