The Parana River, the eco system, clean, plentiful of places to walk and then stop to eat local delicacies. Don't miss the surubi, a healthy white River fish. Add a side of fried mandioca (yuca) and an Argentinian Malbec ( try Luigi Bosca ). The desserts are out of this world, local quesillos (cheese) with cayote or quinotos would be... More

A very nice walk along the river from the centre of town up to the bridge, with a stop for lunch. It felt very safe as there were plenty of people around. It is such a huge river, with so much activity, there is always something to watch. And great for people watching on the shore too. Very pleasant.

Nice views of Corrientes City coastline are displayed as you walk from the Port to the Bridge or vice-versa. Not recommendable as a night alternative. In some corners, you may find not extremely pleasant little gangs. Better look the distant sights and not the closer views of the shore, lest you want to enjoy garbage landscapes. Lots of people fishing,... More

You can't live in Corrientes and not go to the Costenera. Indeed, you can't go to the Costenera and not fall in love with it. It seems a magical place: surrounded by Argentinian drinking mate in the evening and completely empty of people at the siesta time, you can go to relax, running or just admiring the bridge. I have... A relaxed stroll along the Costanera is one of the delights of Corrientes. It's fun to watch the fishermen, and the huge barges that chug slowly up and down between Asunción del Paraguay and Buenos Aires.

It could be very nice but the gardens are not kept very well. The riverside has a lot of trash in places.
