We had been in commumication with Jason for several months trying to get everything ready for our son to solo on his 14th birthday. Paper work didn't get through to FAA in time. Our son's instructor, Tom, was excellent. There wasn't much that needed to be taught so the two of them just went up and had fun soaring together.... More

Everyone there is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the aerobatic flight. Instructor gave me the stick for as long as I wanted (not during aerobatics). Instructor was 5 time aerobatic champion and a joy to fly with. Get the video, it is worth it. Overall a bit pricy but worth it. I have a good tip because instructor was so... More

I always wanted to try this, flying for business is a grind, but this sets your soul free. Arizona soaring was about 40 minutes out of Phoenix down a dusty trail. Pretty rustic would describe the place. But the planes are clean and very well kept. I'm a big guy and the plane, it's still a plane but no engine,... More

Scratch another thing off the old bucket list; we went gliding. Arizona Soaring operates out of the Estrella Sailport, a private airport located 20 miles south of the City of Phoenix. So close to home. We should have done this long ago. Our glider pilot, Tom, has been flying since 1972. He alerted us to the fact that this day... More

I purchased a Groupon for a glider ride at Arizona Soaring as a gift for my wife's birthday...she had a WONDERFUL time. Peter was her instructor and he was so informative, patient and nice. I would highly recommend the experience and Peter.

This was a spectacular experience out in the desert. This was less than an hour drive south of Phoenix. I went for the ‘aerobatic’ experience, which I highly recommend. Surprisingly, there are no forms/waivers to sign before participating in this. However, you do have to strap on a parachute for the aerobatics, and know how to unbuckle your seatbelt and... More

My wife and I skipped Christmas gifts for each other in December and chose to do something on our Arizona trip instead. I decided to go Aerobatic soaring! Fantastic! Jason was excellent! If you go, be sure to get the personal video for an additional $50 - well worth it.

I have always wanted to take a glider ride and had a chance with Arizona Soaring. About an hour outside Phoenix it was a pleasant drive to get to them. Just a little oasis out in the desert, the sailport is a school as well as a club for many glider enthusiasts. I originally had called and scheduled an aerobatic... More
