Very nice theater. Quitr modern though I preferred the old building. It was demolished after a fire.

I viewed Otelo by Verdi for about 50.00. Whee can you see a three hour opera for that much. It was in Italian with subtitles in Spanish above stage. I went in not knowing what I was seeing and loved both the show and the Teatro Argentino Opera House.

Artists and workers keep up the level of this estate-run theatre with their excellent performances of ballet, opera, concerts and exhibitions. the orchestra Conductor, Mr Vieu, is outstanding.
sadly, the building is not well kept. on the exterior, the walls and windows have been most painted with graffiti and dust/rubbish gathered around. Inside, out of 6 elevators for the public, only one or two work when there are shows, which complicate a bit, specially for the elderly.
there are tour guides several days a week which are worth taking.
if you have the chance to attend a show, don´t miss it!!

Amazing building, check for current shows and experience an amazing piece of art for a few bucks. The brutalist architecture is worth seeing outside and inside. The Ginastera Hall is absolutely amazing, the materials, the seats and the overall distribution. The Café was extremely basic during the show, but it was enough for a short stop.
