We visited Senor Tango last Saturday night whilst visiting Buenos Aires. An Argentine tango show had long been on my bucket list.
The dancers were absolutely fantastic, it’s just a shame they didn’t get more time on stage to display their undoubted talents.
The lowlight of the show was the owner taking to the stage in a display of complete self indulgence and crooning his way through far too many songs and interacting with the audience. Could have maybe suffered him for the one or two songs but not the 30-40 minutes he elected to perform.
The musical backing band were very good and the food was probably average at best.

The show was recommended to us by some friends but it is just a tourist type of thing which Im not saying its bad. The actual dancers were very dedicated and well prepared. I love tango, but the singing part and a guy talking for half an hour ( or so it seems like it) made me want to just leave. The musicians were excellent. Food was ok and service was really good. We also went to another tango show and like it more

Food - average at best. Show: first half hour is a slide show with old photos showing that once, famous people came. Second half hour, nice tango dancing. After that, it was all about Sr. Tango, the owner. Singing and talking. Please. Save the ego trip. Folks are here for tango. Stop talking and singing yourself, and feature more dancing. I was yawning at the end. There must be better options...

Expectations was high and delivery disappointing! We went as a couple and booked the VIP which gets to the second floor. Food was poor and the show was degraded by a long monolouge (we think by the owner) almost to fill time. ARS240,000 was too much plus, more for wine, bus and tips. It was the first time for me seeing the Tango, the few dances we saw were great - please more of these and less fill ins.

It's more than Tango, it's a show with singing and music. It place is nicely done and the show itself is worth watching. We did not opt for Dinner so we went later for the show that is scheduled at 10 pm.

The location is a bit far, so Taxi/Uber or transport provided by the Organizer would be needed.

Don't have any other Tango to compare but the show receives consistently good reviews.

Can book tickets directly with Señor Tango in Argentine Pesos, and looks a much better rate than USD rates.

Any way, if in Argentina going to a Tango performance is a must-do.

The show was very good. Great music, sound liga and stage actors very professional. Very Broadway. However the food was not good. Our server had no knowledge of what to do when your guests tell you the Steak ( NY Steak) was so hard . Fish was ok but not so nicely presented. He said. Ahh ok. I will let the check know but did not offer a replacement- and walked away.
There are so many great places in Buenos Aires to eat. Skip the meal go for the show only.

Being Argentina and not residing there, I took my foreign family to Señor Tango in November 2022 and for my surprise the closing act of the show is about Evita Peron with the song "Don't cry for my Argentina". Not only it is not tango, but for those of us who no longer live in Argentina thanks to the politics, it was an unfortunate experience.
Leaving this unhappy fact aside, the tango show with the dancing couples and their choreography was first rate. Too long for my personal taste.
The singer is very good but the interaction with the public is totally out of place. Boring, very long and totally with lack of respect for the majority of the non-Spanish-speaking public. TERRIBLE sound system also needs update.

I attended their late show and dinner in June 2022 with two sisters and a brother in law. If you enjoy performances with a sound system that equals or exceeds sitting next to a jet engine, by all means go. We were nowhere near the speakers, too. The performers were really good, the horse coming on the stage at the beginning was stupid. Anyone understand horses at Senor Tango? All in all, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS unless they change their sound system. An older man at the table next to us was escorted out. I wonder to this day if the magnitude of the sound caused him to become ill.. I don't leave reviews. Felt I might save someone's hearing with this one. PLEASE SENOR TANGO, LOWER THAT SOUND FOR YOURSELVES, YOUR PERFORMERS, AND YOUR CUSTOMERS. PS. The "who was you with choices" do not list just family, so I chose couples.

If you don’t understand Spanish, don’t go. Senor Tangi himself spends too much time talking and wants to hear himself. Ending at 1am is huge No for travelers!!! Food was great and so was the service. The dancers were wonderful and beautiful. I wish there was more of the dancing and less Senor speaking.
The weird circus dancer who can barely tango was terrible. The S&M show at the end was a disappointment on seeing the ladies demeaned in lessor attire. Glad we did saw the dancers and had dinner. The rest was just mediocre.
