We travelled to Colonia de Sacramento departing at 12.30 and returning 20.15. Customs was dead easy going out but you have to check in before clearing Argentine & Uruguayan customs. Be careful to check in again on the return where you also need to complete...More

We booked a return trip to Montevideo from BA with Colonia express and were really happy with everything. The BA ferry terminal was good, with free wifi and an area to sit and a coffee shop/cafe. The process of getting through immigration was fine, no...More

I choose the wrong day when booking and they told me the ferry ticket is unchangeable. This is the only company (colonia express and Direct ferries) probably in the world that does not accept a fee for changing the date. Our ferry is not booked...More

Colona Express should stop doing business with Directferries. Booked a day trip from BA to Colona. On the day there was a delay in departing by four hours and therefore would not be worth going for an hour in Colona. We called Directferrries to rebook...More

Did the "Buenos Aires - Colonia del Sacramento" day trip. The ferry was late leaving Buenos Aires, which is odd for a ferry service (should have on-time departures just like trains, especially that the weather was good). The duty-free shop was more expensive than prices...More

We stayed overnight in Colonia although our original plan was to just go for the day. We booked our tickets at the Colonia Express stand in a local mall in Buenos Aires the same day that we went. The ferry did leave late but seemed...More
