The Edificio del Ministerio de la Salud y de Desarrollo Social is a 93-meter-tall Ministry of Health Building in rationalist style on Avenida 9 de Julio, where it intersects with Avenida Belgrano. It originally belonged to the Ministry of Public Works.
In 2011, the Kirchner government, with the help of the renowned sculptor Alejandro Marmo and several painters, installed two huge 14-ton, 31-meter and 24-meter-wide steel frames on the exterior walls of the building to support the portraits of María Eva Duarte de Perón, better known as Evita Perón. Daniel Santoro digitised them so that the images are illuminated with LED technology, with the national flag at the bottom at night.
On the north side, towards the Obelisco and the more aristocratic area of the city, it depicts Eva Perón holding a microphone, which was taken from a picture of her speech from this very building. Some people thought Evita was eating a hamburger instead of holding a microphone. While the southern side faces the city’s working-class neighborhoods and factory areas, shows the Evita of the poor, kind and smiling, with the image taken from the photograph on the cover of her 1951 autobiography La Razon de mi Vida (The Reason for my Life).
Eva Perón’s portraits were hung in this building because she gave her resignation speech here in front of millions.
TIP: If you look at the north face, the number 2025 is hidden between the outlines of Evita’s hair bun. This number represents the time that Eva Duarte de Perón died: at 8:25 p.m. on July 26, 1952. (In Argentina, the time is in the 24-hour clock. 20:25hs.

This mural is iconic, and I always took pleasure looking at it when in transit to various tourist sites. I did not realize that there are two separate sculptures, on either side of the building. You can also get a unique view/shot of the sculpture from the Palacio Barolo during your tour there.

This striking monument features Evita's face on either side of it: facing South, she looks angelically onto the capital's poorer population; facing North, she looks fiercely and passionately onto BA's wealthier sectors.
The Edificio del Ministerio de Salud (English: The Building of the Ministry of Health) (originally the Building of the Ministry of Public Works) MOP is located on the Avenida 9 de Julio and Avenida Belgrano, in the neighborhood of Monserrat, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is a rationalist style building that is 93 meters tall.
It originally housed the Ministry of Public Works, but is now the headquarters of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Development.
On both the north and south walls is a large steel image of María Eva Duarte de Perón, known as Evita. Her official portrait faces the south while the image to the north depicts her giving a passionate speech. The pieces of art were created by the Argentinian artist Marmo.
Alejandro Marmo is an Argentine artist born in the district of Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. He is the author of the "Art in the Factory", with art that led to productive work spaces.
Two figures of steel 31x24 meters totaling 14 tons. The south face was inaugurated by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner commemorating the 59th anniversary of the death of Eva Perón.

Anonym white building on the Avenida 9 de Julio, it stands out because on its facade the profile of Evita Perón is designed in a stylish shape.
