A definite must see show & great dinner, all set within the charming Faena Hotel. A real class act ... the dancers, music/band, costumes ... what a feast for the eyes! The very small & intimate setting made the experience up close & personal. The dinner with wine included was delicious. Totally exciting evening.

We had the pleasure of attending Rojo Tango last night. It is a must see for anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Our meal before performance was very good, and exceptional service as well. I cannot say enough about how thoroughly we enjoyed our evening. Our table was front row center. The caliber of the dancers, costumes, band, choreography was exceptional. A... More

The venue for the Rojo Tango show is in a showroom within the extraordinary Faena Hotel. About 100 guests can be seated. We had an excellent table close to the stage with a perfect view. Excellent tango showdancing, most of the dancers were great. They didn't simply dance on the stage but also moved around on the floor. One of... More

Food is fantastic but entirely secondary to this landmark experience. We book every time we time we travel to BA. Try to sit in front row if possible to take in the leg movements. The entire hotel is quite astounding, we enjoyed drinks at restaurant as well. Unforgettable evening.

Rojo Tango is located in the interesting Faena Hotel in Buenos Aires. We really enjoyed the show when we saw it several years ago (~$95 pp) and booked on line to see it again. The website was a little misleading regarding the price, but part of the deal was transportation both ways from the cruise port. We were blindsided at... More

Great and energetic musicians. Nice dancing. Fantastic location in the Faena hotel. But what could have been a fabulous evening was destroyed by - an oddly shaped space that did not let us see the lower body movements of the dancers from the raised (!!) tables in the back - and the legwork is where it's at in Tango! -... We have been to Rojo Tango twice--the second time (6 years later) we liked it even more. Don't go for the food and wine--it's not bad but nothing special. The point is the music and dancing. The room is very small and holds only about 100 guests; there is an excellent live Tango orchestra and singers; the dancers are gorgeous.... More

So I heard many mixed reviews about all different Tango shows throughout Argentina but I knew I wanted to go to one. I also heard the food at these shows are hit or miss. We had opera tickets that night but new we would only stay for an hour and then we wanted to see a tango show. We did... More

Firstly don't go for dinner before the show if you do eat at your own peril. The dancing is spectacular and a real eye opener. Sat in the front row table. The best place to sit. But I must tell you the women singer was probably the worst singer I have ever heard on stage. My wife can't carry a... More

I will start off by saying that my wife and I are fans of dance, not just Tango. We came here with the expectation that this wouldn't be traditional Tango. The good things about this show in order: 1. The Piano Player was great 2. The Banana Mouse was very good (if you do the meal, which I don't recommend)... More

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
