The Rojo Tango show is top notch and likely the best in Buenos Aires. It is classy all the way from the driver/car that picks you up to the meal, to the drinks, to the venue and certainly to the entertainers. Unfortunately you pay for what you get. There is something that we learned and that is if you offer... More

Our A&K guide recommended Rojo Tango as the best tango show in town. The show didn't disappoint. The show takes a chronological tour through the world of the Tango. The music and dancers were excellent. I could have done without the singers, but they gave the dancers time to make countless costume changes. The meal beforehand was also very good.... More

Fantastic Tango Show with great music and amazing dancers and dancing. Very special and top notch! Preceded by good night club style dinner and plenty of champagne. An exciting, lively and excellent spectacle.

The hotel venue itself is beautiful (converted mill factory) but the show was very expensive and not worth it. Not even close! Production value is low. Dancing and live music was good. If I were to ever come back to BA, I'd hit one of the many squares in BA that have street performers and see Tango there. We loved... More

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! We were a little apprehensive after seeing some of the reviews but a good trustworthy friend had recommended it so we bit the bullet and reserved a front row table with dinner and asked for a centre table which we got. The sparkling wine was delicious and the other wines were reasonable quality and flowed all night. The... More

A definite must see show & great dinner, all set within the charming Faena Hotel. A real class act ... the dancers, music/band, costumes ... what a feast for the eyes! The very small & intimate setting made the experience up close & personal. The dinner with wine included was delicious. Totally exciting evening.

We had the pleasure of attending Rojo Tango last night. It is a must see for anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Our meal before performance was very good, and exceptional service as well. I cannot say enough about how thoroughly we enjoyed our evening. Our table was front row center. The caliber of the dancers, costumes, band, choreography was exceptional. A... More

The venue for the Rojo Tango show is in a showroom within the extraordinary Faena Hotel. About 100 guests can be seated. We had an excellent table close to the stage with a perfect view. Excellent tango showdancing, most of the dancers were great. They didn't simply dance on the stage but also moved around on the floor. One of... More

Food is fantastic but entirely secondary to this landmark experience. We book every time we time we travel to BA. Try to sit in front row if possible to take in the leg movements. The entire hotel is quite astounding, we enjoyed drinks at restaurant as well. Unforgettable evening.

Rojo Tango is located in the interesting Faena Hotel in Buenos Aires. We really enjoyed the show when we saw it several years ago (~$95 pp) and booked on line to see it again. The website was a little misleading regarding the price, but part of the deal was transportation both ways from the cruise port. We were blindsided at... More

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
