Neighbourhood: Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

    The perfect neighborhood to relax
The Palermo neighborhood, another one of BA's famous areas, is the perfect place to spend a quiet afternoon. Here there are terrific parks, quiet streets with small cafes and wide spaces to simply unwind after seeing all of the tourist sights. Spend some time here, enjoy the surrounds and recharge!

    Nice neighborhood in Buenos Aires
My wife and I spent three nights in the Palermo neighborhood during a recent visit to Buenos Aires. It is a vibrant area with lots of restaurants, coffee shops and parks. It has a lot of streets that are lined with Sycamore trees that adds to the ambiance.

    Nice area of BA
We visited the Palmero area and took a food tour. It's a nice part of BA and has many restaurants with excellent food. There is some shopping and other nightlife as well. The buildings are well maintained and it seemed safe.

One of the best areas of BA, full of beautiful houses, parks, shops. Nice to walk along the streets, having a rest in the beautiful and green parks. Nice shops there, good brands.

A nice neighbor of Buenos Aires, full of bars, artistic shops and cafes. Worth a nice walk if time allows. Some character, comparable to Notting Hill in London.

The Palermo neighborhood is the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires. It is also the "hipster" area of the city. Palermo is especially good for vegan restaurants which is why I visit the area.

We took a half day bike tour through the area and riding through the park was the best part of the tour. We started on the edge of Reccolta ride along the edge of the water front.

I am visiting Buenos Aires after a six year gap. I've been a regular visitor since 2009. I am staying in Palermo Soho for 12 weeks and am about half way through my trip. For me, this is a really nice area to stay and to enjoy life. The tree-lined streets and often cobbled roads give it a really nice feel - and it's right in the heart of the city - syou can get anywhere easily by public transport, or just enjoy walking around the neighbourhood, stopping for a coffee or lunch and being 'more like a local'. There is the local designer outlet 'districto Arcos', small local design shops, lots of cafes, restaurants and parks - and transport links.
