Just lovely. Very safe (at least during the daytime but then I would never go to a park at night). Bathrooms are available. Very well cared for. Roses looked and smelled great. You will need bug spray - the mosquitos were active during the day and were quite large. The geese were fun to feed and did look well fed.

This is a beautiful park but one should really go prepared and spend some time there. Take a picnic basket and blanket and settle down somewhere beautiful! We were planning to pick up some food there but there really wasn't any stalls around (we were there on a weekday morning). Very pretty indeed.

This park is beautiful. Comparable to N.Y.C.'s Central Park. There is a wonderful Japanese garden within it, a rose garden and a beautiful, big, metal flower that opens and closes.

There are several stunning parks in Buenos Aires and this is one of them. Don't miss it. It's in probably the best district in town for restaurants, night life and places to people watch etc. It was only a shame that it rained the whole two days when I was here!

I really enjoy these green areas around the city, specially when they are free. You will see lots of locals having pick-nicks with their families and how life really is in BsAs. This is priceless.

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Any day, any time, busier on weekends, these parks on the North side of Buenos Aires (technically in the neighborhood of Palermo, starting from Libertador Avenue and North towards the river) offer beauty, workout space, freedom from traffic and pollution.

Go on a sunny, warm weekend afternoon if possible. You are likely to see families strolling, roller hockey players in action, and all kinds of athletes, A colorful and wonderful way to spend a few hours.

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
