- Wesley CTucson, Arizona9,878 contributionsVery Nice Restaurant during the DayDidn't attend the tango show, but had a great group lunch here during the day. Started out with 4 appetizers served family style (the beef empanadas were great). For my entre, I had beef steak with rustic potatoes. For dessert, I had a flan with dulce de leche and whipped cream. Everything was terrific, but it was a lot of food.Visited February 2022Written 21 January 2023

Atmosphere was electric. Food was way above what we expected for such an event. Hotel pickup and drops offs were timely and seamless Great value for around $100 per person. Highly recommended.Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 February 2023
- Laura RGuttenberg, New Jersey304 contributionsImpossible to see anythingWe went here one night for dinner and the show. The food was OK, it was steak. The Milanese was actually much better than the regular steak. The show was very good, but we could not see much of it because the tables are so close together and everything is packed. Unless you’re in one of the front rows you don’t see much. There was a tribute to Evita Peron which was very nice. The show had many different artists, tango dancers, singers and other performers. The band was great. If you can get in the front row I would recommend this place.Visited November 2022Travelled with friendsWritten 1 July 2023
- Eric S18 contributionsLovely building and enjoyable showWe attended the show only (no dinner). Our show was upstairs which is smaller than I expected from the photos. The show was fun though a bit touristy. Included wine was fine. If you want to see a tango show, it definitely is not a bad one. Very talented performers.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 July 2023
- LouCraddBirmingham, United Kingdom80 contributionsTango and more! What a brilliant evening! We were transported back in time to 1930s opulence. Upstairs in the VIP lounge (and I’m not sure how we managed that) we were looked after by the Maitre D’ Leo who charmed his way round the guests. The food was better than expected and the wine flowed generously all evening. Once the show started we were bowled over by all the performers and the band. The standard of the dancing was superb. We were entertained by singing, dancing, traditional music and of course the Argentinian tango. A real highlight of our trip.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 November 2023

This far exceeded our expectations. City had been in almost lockdown following Argentina's triumphant football team return but transport worked fine. Ticked all the must do boxes. Enjoyed a Tango lesson to start. Had a fabulous steak with a bottle of Malbec whilst watching an Argentine culture show. We have been to Tango shows before which can become tedious, but this offered so much more, covering many aspects of Argentinian culture. To ensure everyone has their food and drink before the show takes time and the steak tended to be rare rather than medium rare. Be warned if your preference is well done.

I came here over 20 years ago and loved it. Now in 2023, I felt robbed. Crammed, chaotic, uncomfortable and a robotic service which is so un-Argentinian, but the waiters simply have to attend to perhaps 300 people as quickly as possible. For our family of 2 adults and 2 teens we paid USD480. An expensive mistake. I believe this has turned into a scam in the real sense of the word and you literally feel trapped and conned at the same time.

The show was wonderful. We booked for the meal too and had the worst seats in the house. Told we were being seated with other English speakers. Yes we were, but don’t know why that meant we should have worst seats Good seats seemed to be for those who booked show only Starters and dessert fine main course of steak ordered rare arrived more than well done. People who arrived later for show only for much better seats seats talked through the show

This show was fun and included singing, music, and dancing. The dancing was more varied than just tango, and the musicians looked like they were having a great time playing together. We did not do the dinner, and were instead sat in an upstairs area with a limited stage view which was disappointing. It may be worth doing dinner if you want better seats. Another show may also be better if you're looking for more artistic dancing/costumes - this was an entertaining variety show though.

What a wonderfully entertaining evening. My wife and I were visiting in Argentina and it was recommended that we see the show at La Ventana. The meal was fantastic and the musicians and dancing were all top-notch and full of energy. It was a wonderful evening in Buenos Aires!

My boss and I went to the dinner and show and both really enjoyed ourselves. The dinner was better than expected but we had low expectations. Go with their recommendations. The show was really entertaining, the music was good, and the tango was awesome! Get there at the start of the dinner time for better seats.

We booked it through Trip Advisor which was a first, and it proved good value in comparison to other quotes we had received for the same venue.
We thought the performers were excellent. From the lithe and beautiful tango dancers, the energetic Andean folk group, the talented band and the wonderful distinguished crooner. They performed energetically for an hour and a half and it was a real treat.
There was a very impressive performer who gave us a marvellous drumming rendition and displayed his bolus skills, which stole the show. There was also a some what intriguing Spanish version of the Lloyd-Webber, Tim Rice number, in Spanish, to honour Eva Peron. The singer was very capable and accompanied by an entourage of flag waving Tango dancers which was actually quite moving.
We went for the no dinner option, which was reasonable value as we had dinner close by for much cheaper in a wonderful bistro. We can’t comment on the dinner, but would suggest that one should consider if the price difference is really worth it as Buenos Aires has some amazing restaurants offering dinner for a lot less.
It did mean we were placed towards the back of the theatre, which was fair enough as others had paid more. We had a good enough view of the stage, (accepting my comment below)
We had a bottle of wine and some water. The Malbec was drinkable albeit not the best of the Argentine wine we have tasted.
The waiting staff were busy ferrying the desserts and drinks and were not overly friendly, however they did generously top our wine well beyond the end of our bottle, (just before presenting us with a folder for waiters tips) so no complaints.
The one big issue we did have is that at the beginning of the show the announcer asked people not to photograph and film the show. There was a resounding groan from the assembled international audience.
As soon as the show started the cameras came out and many people start to watch the entire show through their 15cms screens. Why they bothered coming and didn’t just watch it on YouTube instead, saving an expensive entry fee, is a mystery of the modern age. It did spoil it for everyone else in the line of sight. I did ask the waiter if he could ask the lady who was just sitting front of us to put her phone away after 20 minutes of continuous filming, me craning my neck around her screen, but he shrugged and when I gave him the hard Paddington stare moved us to an elevated platform with a better view. The photography carried on with a chap just in front of me holding his camera right up. I asked him politely to lower it and he did and then all was good for us and he actually seemed to enjoy the performances more when he didn’t think about trying to capture it for his TikTok account. Although about twenty or thirty people continued to film to remind them and their disinterested friends and relations of the show they never actually saw. It would be quite simple to remind people and explain they are making it less pleasant for others but the venue made no attempt after the initial announcement.
Overall it was an amusing tourist show for coach parties, rather than an intimate Cabaret for sultry Tango loving couples contemplating life by candlelight. But that’s ok if you know what to expect. But I would suggest they should do more to reinforce their rules on cameras to ensure both performers and guests are given their due respect.

Great show & great evening. Really nice atmosphere, we choose the ticket only and no dinner, you get a bottle of wine and bottle of still water.
Staff are very nice and the artists are fantastic. Nice mix of everything.

The show was amazing, with extremely talented performers. We were spellbound the entire time. We liked that the show included some other types of Argentinian dance/performance as well as the tango.

Hi All
Going to Buenos Aires in a couple of weeks and would love to see a Tango show. We'd also liked to eat at a steak house, any recommendations please.
Many thanks

La Ventana is ok and more economical. Most tables are far from the small stage. Upstairs you will find Gala Tango which is slightly more expensive but the show is much better and the food as well. Stage is larger and all tables have a good view. Steaks in all of Buenos Aires are not very flavourful. All sides are extra.
