Neighbourhood: Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

Some little shops. Stalls on market days. Some things good value some times not so much. Need to shop around. Worth a visit if in the area. Not something to go out the way too.

I ended up here a few times while staying in Palermo. It was a short walk from my accommodations and offered up a lot of options. The center of Plaza Serrano held crafts and local art, surrounded by restaurants and bars across the street. I found that places off the initial ring, like a block or two away offered up a little bit better food, service, quality and pricing. Walking through the neighborhood also offers up quite a variety of street art at almost every turn. This is also where several people suggested to go for nightlife and it didn't really disappoint.

It´s a nice place to have some drinks since there a lot of bars and restaurants. Also, at weekends there is a fair with lots of shops where you can buy exclusive clothes, handcrafts and many other things!

I think I may have tried every bar and restaurant in this big plaza. I have been there during the day and late night in the last open bar! It's a great plaza for enjoying yourself, great food, lots people watching and fun! When I was there a few bridal parties went by in party buses along with the bachelor in the trunk of the car in diapers (huh) ??? it's just a fun place with great food and shopping. Try any place on the plaza you'll love it!

We stayed in Palermo during our four days in BA, and came to plaza Serrano on a couple of those evenings.
There are lots of bars, and a number of restaurants to choose from, whether you want a loud bar, pubs specialising in many types of beer, or just a decent wine bar.
Definitely worth coming for a night out.

It is a small market in my idea, but there are many things to look and buy. Some thing the price is reasonable, but some thing the price is so high. But you should be here one time if you come to this city.

We visited this square late afternoon midweek when it is presumably at its quietest, as there was not really much to see except the shops/restaurants around the outside, none of which were overly interesting. I guess we just chose the wrong time to see it at its best?
