We visited Oludeniz in Nov 2021 & visited both the Belcekiz Beach & the long walk to the Blue Lagoon. Inspite of all the negative reviews, the beach was clean & water clear. Also Nov is the off season & not a soul was in the beach early in the morning. The water was too cold to swim but we did dip ourselves. The Belcekiz Beach is full of big pebbles & not nice to walk on though the water was clear & inviting. The blue Lagoon is a huge calm swimming pool with different colors in the shallow...crystal clear with fishes around you & in the deep ...a bright blue. Truly lives up to all the hype. Just to be there with no one else in the morning was historic. Even when we went in the afternoon, there were a handful of people. All in all, one of the most romantic places to be.

We visited the blue lagoon Oludeniz twice last year and loved it so much we returned this year. We had such a lovely day watching the paragliders jumping of Bagadad mountain . The beach is well kept and tidy, plenty of sun Loungers which you can hire for just a few TL. The water is so so clear and great for swimming once you get over the rocky shore! The bars and restaurants on the beach seemed to have been updated this year and presented much nicer than last year. Plenty of places to get food and drinks.

Lovely beach but don't expect the blue lagoon to look like all the online pics unless you go paragliding and see it from the sky. Still on the beach the sand is soft and the water is clear - the water was much colder than i was expecting. It was quiet when we went which was good.

Having first seen pictures of this beach on the cover of Time magazine some time in the 80's we vowed to one day get round to going....
Clearly we left it 30 years too late. Ruined by tourism, pebble, shale beach making walking difficult, mobbed with hardly a spot to be found to lie on - certainly not a COVID friendly one, tacky beer-fest cruise boats blasting out raucous music! Quite the opposite of the tranquil beach it clearly once was - pictures of which are still used to promote Turkey - shameful! Anywhere with a Del Boy bar ought to be avoided - unless of course, that's your thing.

I'm sure this beach was beautiful at one time - but it is now ruined. The beach looks like a literal ashtray. There are more cigarette butts than beach stones at this point. There are several tourist trap boats that line the harbor and blast loud techno music - which you can also hear all night if you are staying anywhere near the beach. After watching a young boy throw a beer bottle and leaving shards of glass all over - we decided to quickly move on to another town that was less of a scene.

Try mixing up your holiday with a visit to this beach. waves a bit bigger but still suitable for kids. sand softish. easy access. pay for umbrella. bring your own food and drinks from the market nearby. beautiful promenade to walk nearby at sunset

I spent a few days on the beach in Oludeniz and a few days on the beach of Cleopatra in Alania. So I can compare both of these places. My impressions are as follows:
Alania's Cleopatra Beach is very large. And there are hotels along the entire length. So there is no problem finding a hotel close to the beach. The Oludeniz (Blue Lagoon) beach is adjacent to a very small village. So it's hard to find a hotel. You will probably commute by car to get to the beach.
Using a car in Oludeniz in the high season requires spending about 40 minutes in traffic jams. Access to the beach by car, 2 kilometers away, takes about 40 minutes. The Oludeniz beach is very crowded. There is a huge amount of tourists there. There are fewer tourists on Cleopatra Beach.
There is sand on Cleopatra's Beach. Romantic walks in the setting sun are possible. There are stones on the Oludeniz beach. So forget about walking.
Cleopatra Beach is very clean. Oludeniz beach is dirty. You can see rubbish everywhere - even next to the sunbeds. The water on Cleopatra's beach is fairly clean. On the Oludeniz beach, 2 meters from the shore, the water is dirty. A little further - cleaner.
Cleopatra Beach is located in the city (Alania). Oludeniz Beach is surrounded by high mountains. There are nice views.
Summary - if you want to go to Oludeniz you may be disappointed. But there is one good news. From Oludeniz you can sail to the Butterfly Valley. It is a really beautiful place to be recommended.

The water has a very beautiful blue color. The beach is very wide but it is covered with gravel, which makes walking very difficult. Also the seabed is covered with the same unpleasant gravel. The entrance to the water is quite steep and the water deepens very quickly.

After been in Kas, it’s hard to like Oludeniz.
It’s a bit tacky and the beach is not crystal clear; actually the water just by the beach is quite dirty with body oil and other stuff.
The beach itself is the dirtiest beach I’ve seen so far. People just seem to leave their rubbish behind.
