I had seen this place on trip advisor so when I was going past I went in. I am not a quilter and can barely sew but we had coffee....OMG real coffee!!! Jacky is a delight and we had a chat with her about all things and fell in love with her dog! What a little treasure!

I have just come back from a fabulous 12 day indigo and shibori retreat in Candidasa where we dyed enough fabric to sew a queen size quilt. Alison and Shuji Yamazaki were inspiring teachers who expertly lead us through a range of folding, clamping, wrapping and sewing techniques to create a beautiful range of patterns all dyed with Indigo.

After 4 days dyeing we had 2 days sewing our quilts or other projects under the expert guidance of Peggy Phelps who taught as two quilt as you go techniques. As someone who I never sewn a quilt before I learnt a great deal from Peggy's patient teaching.

Throughout all Jacky's enthusiasm and deep knowledge of Bali enabled us all to have a great time at different restaurants and take tours to see sights or indulge in shopping. I thoroughly recommend this retreat - the fact I am going back next year says it all!.

Discovered this shop st the last minute. Filled with a huge and diverse range of stunning fabrics. Mentioned we wanted to use fabric as cushion covers and Jacky said they could make them within our 1 day timeframe. Collected then on the way to the airport and they are beautifully made. Coffee also great by the way. Well worth a visit.

Jacky's tour takes you to the heart and soul of the history of batik making in Java.Highlights were shopping in Batik Lane, the Museum of the History of Batik which contains fabric that is up to 600 years old, and the experience of designing and creating 50 metres of your own bespoke fabric. There is no one else in the world who has Jacky's knowledge of Indonesia, batik fabric and touring, hence she can't together an outstanding travel experience for crafters and artisans.

I am recently back home from a wonderful 2 weeks in Bali particularly a Shibori workshop with Wacky Jacky. we had 2 terrific teachers leading us through all the stages of Japanese tie dyeing . we got messy and worked hard . we ended up with 42 10" blocks which we then proceeded to put together to make a queen size quilt in the quilt as you go method I return home thankful for the experience ,the friendships made and the learning of a new skill . Thank you Jacky for another great retreat ,also to the teachers involved .

Honestly, the best cappuccino I have had in Bali! The prices are fair, coffee amazing, and the desserts ... omg. Have the lemon cake and the caramel slices. Savoury option? TOASTIES! They are made with Australian Tasty cheese and such beautiful ham and tasty tomatoes. I love Indonesian food but WJ's is a welcome break for some good ol' comfort food.

Oh! Have the Anzac cookies ... only $1 and bloody awesome!

It was my first time in Bali and Jacky made it very memorable. We saw a lot of Bali and their culture and made some great Batik and Indigo samples which were all great fun. Also met lovely people with the same interests. Would definitely recommend her retreats.

My 1st time to Bali was definitely a memorable one! I learnt wonderfully creative batik processes (hands on not just looking) played with fabric and wax resisting and dyes. had some wonderful sightseeing moments with new friends. all this was professionally organized by Jacky and Wayan, these Gals were so helpful that I didn't have to think about anything except what time to meet for the next activity. we relaxed, laughed went to great restaurants! within minutes walk from the beach front Villa, the locals were so friendly and loved that i was not in the super busy part of Bali, so we didn't get the major haggling that happens else where. I went along with my Mum who creates and Dad who doesn't do any creating and he had a ball as well. (he even surprised himself at what he created!) And did I mention the shopping trips...OMG We LOVE shopping!!! so cheap... lucky we booked extra baggage home. I highly recommend one of Jacky's fabric tour holidays even her shop was a little oasis away from Australia, where you could get gorgeous Batik fabrics, a great coffee, cake, meat pies, toasties even ice creams....sit and chill and meet other random aussies passing through. Loved it!!! thank you Jacky. We definitely want to come back and play some more! Beck, Rae & Graeme
