All reviews live music food stalls stalls selling flea market shopping experience food area huge market bargaining skills must visit place nice place north goa accessories handicrafts foreigners bargains stage clothing
Over hyped Saturday Night Market as it has same stuff and things that you get everywhere in GOA that too very expensive than usual rates which we get in our nearby surroundings. Open Food Court with liquor too and live band was performing.
Quite a fun market, food stalls to eat at, live music, but basically dozens of stalls with the same products - tourist clothing, hats, trinkets, spices, souvenirs etc. No produce for sale, no great interest or novel things for sale. Marred also by the many...More

I have seen that your interests are three. Beach, bar night life and shopping. First of all, south Goa is ruled out since the night life may not be as good as north Goa. Secondly , being a single lady from UK, and if you want to be with people of dignity, that Hacienda hotel and resort lying between Anjuna and Baga beach. the Hotel is maintained by a graceful lady, Mrs.Susan Thomas, ( and her husband Mr.Thomas) who will be of great guide to you for your local travel plan and She organises your transport requirement also. The In house restaurant and bar is also good.( you can see my review on this place). When I stayed there I found mostly British nationals staying there. The only disadvantage here is that you can not walk out for shopping or any other restaurant very close by, and you need transport.
The alternate is the Resort called Karma royal Monterio, Arpora, which is situated among shops, taxi stand, two wheeler hire stand, and some bar, all in walking distance, just outside the resort. Even the Baga beach is walking distance. Saturday night market is just 1 km away. This is also a good resort with in-house bar and restaurant. The nearest Railway station is TIVIM.
