Good Service, Good Wine Pairing
We were just 2 people, however the table was set for 4 people which we get.

In the end we had a table with 4 Spittoons, 4 Wine Glasses, 4 Water Glasses already set plus 12 wine glasses for the tasting and 2 small platters for the pairing.

Perhaps remove the excess glasses that's not needed.

Again in the end the experience was great.

Although perhaps it is not the most spectacular winery, the wines and the food are quite good. My husband does not drink alcohol, and they offered us the pairing with juices (children's option), which was really nice. The staff so nice, and the real atmosphere of an ancient cellar, even the smell...

This was our first stop using the Vine Hopper. Although it was a partly cloudy day, we could still see the beauty here. We really liked the Owl Post Pinotage here. We also liked the labels which were of animals or places on the estate. The animals play an important part in their biodiversity program. Also, the provided bread sticks and water were also appreciated. We were surprised that many tastings didn’t have these.

This small intimate restaurant with minimal decoration except a few posters of salt mining offers one of the best value for money breakfasts. First of you get to taste three different salts served on a salt slab. The menu has about five different items, but the food served is adequate and very very tasty. I had eggs Benedict with salmon and my partner had the breakfast wrap. The wrap is an omelette with a huge filling of bacon, avocado, feta and cheese. She could hardly finish it. This is the second time we visited in two weeks.

We came with a group on an organized tour. We were seated outdoors and brought our wines and tastings. My hubby had put no alcohol for me as I normally don't drink so they gave me juices along with vegan/gf food items. I asked if I could have the wines as I wanted to taste South African wines while in South Africa. They said no as they were told I was to have non alcohol??? Not sure why this could not be accommodated as I am an adult and can drink alcohol. Not sure if there was some huge price difference that wouldn't allow me to change my mind?
Anyway, the food was good, hubby and the others enjoyed their wines but the juices were too sweet.
We did not get to tour the winery or vinyards but the area was beautiful.

My wife and I did a tasting platter with wine pairings at the vineyard. The food was really well paired but the best part of the experience was our server, I think his name was Romeo. He was a wealth of knowledge and we insisted he sit with us as he walked us through wine info, the vineyard and SA life. It was his personable nature that pushed a good wine tasting experience to a great one. Don't miss out on some stunning wines with a great guide.

We visited the Neethlingshof Estate as part of our hop on hop off wine tram when visiting Stellenbosch as the first stop of our day. The estate was beautiful and very much kept in its original form, tastefully modernized with state of the Art elements and a beautiful wine shop & cellar inside. The surroundings really were the highlight of the stop, as the tasting was probably the least memorable of all stops. The young Gentleman was very friendly, but particularly knowledgeable about their wines, which didn't do the experience much wrong, but could definitely be improved.
