About
At Beyerskloof we have a passion for Pinotage and a lust for life, friendship and quality. Every bottle of wine embodies the character and values of Beyerskloof, true to the climate, terroir and community of this special piece of earth.Mission:To produce wines of exceptional character, suited for fine tasters and wine lovers everywhere.Description:In 1988 one of the South Africa's most foremost wine makers, Beyers Truter of Kanonkop Estate, in partnership with other wine lovers, established a wine farm with one ideal: to produce wines of exceptional character.A perfectly situated farm with just the right climate and soil quality was selected in the Koelenhof area, within the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin region of the Western Cape. Coincidence provided an appropriate name. The farm's original name was Nooitgedacht, which for five generations belonged to the Beyers family before Jan Andries Beyers sold it in 1895. Beyers Truter is a direct descendent of Jan Beyers, thus making him the sitxh generation to farm this land. This piece of land could only have one name - BEYERSKLOOF.Today Beyerskloof is South Africa's top selling, most popular and loved producer of bottled Pinotage (South Africa's very own cultivar) and renowned for producing excellent multi-award winning wines of character and virtue. We have a passion for Pinotage and an infatuation with the land, life and friendship.

This was my first wine tasting experience in South Africa, and immediately a very nice one. We had an extended tasting alongside their selection, worth trying and being (when back home)!

Was served by Siba was really knowledgable and friendly felt really relaxed and calm and the performance and serving by himself was really natural and not put on which made our table feel really relaxed and fully maximise the potential to relax and feel valued.
Great experience overall and highly reccomend the work by Siba I think his name was as a trainee.

The tasting experience wasn't great. The lady serving us poured the wine told us what it was and then moved on. It was Sunday just before lunch. Busy but not overly busy that there was no attention given to the customer.
I bought 3 bottle of white pinotage. Not because of any assistance from the hostess but because it's an interesting varietal and methodology.

We flew down to the Western Cape for the past long weekend and randomly chose a few wine farms to visit. The experience at this wine farm was a very unpleasant experience! When we entered the tasting area there were ladies not talking to one another, but yelling at each other on the top of their voices. Far past the normal limits of alcohol consumption. We soon realized why! As we entered the wine tasting hall, wine was immediately poured to us in glasses way past the tasting line. No explanation nothing. No one asked us which of the wines we wanted to taste and how tasing works on this farm. Other wine farms offer different types of wines you want to taste. On a previous occasion the same happened. Each glass is poured way above the level. How much money does this wine farm loose with this behavior? We waited forever between our tastings and the information that was given was without any passion and as fast as the waiter could. When we complained the coloured guy that seemed to be in charge came to our table, cleary also way over the normal limit of alcohol consumption. It was actually disgusting. He spoke so much nonsense and poured our glasses really full. We can just imagine that this must be a drinking haven for the students with no order and glasses poured nearly full with each tasting. We decided to leave after 2 tastings. When we left I politely asked a young lady at the restaurant at what time do they close? This was about 3h45. She rudely answered: " We already closed and turned around"! What about? I am so sorry mam. We close at 4hoo, kitchen already closed, but we will definitely see you on a next occasion. We love Beyerskloof wines. However after this shocking experience, we are done. Many other way more classy, upmarket wine farms to visit and buy wine from. This wine farm surely needs more supervision from superiors.

This is a very pretty vineyard. The wines are wonderful and the staff are very friendly and know their wines. The estate is beautiful as is the scenery. Well worth a visit.

If you're on your way to Stellenbosch, Wine tasting is par for the course! Just moments before you enter Stellenbosch, the award-winning branding pops up on your right, surrounded by beautiful vineyards! We had such a great experience, which might have been due to the fact that the Wine was so good, we just had to swallow every glass.

Second time I’ve been here and it’s better than ever. Whilst it may not be as scenic as some wine estates, the wine is superior to most - the pinotage reserve is exquisite. And the service is exceptional. Definitely recommend a visit here

The weather was not great so we enjoyed our tasting inside – all nine! You have a choice of 5 or four wines or all of them. Beyerskloof is a great wine so worth tasting all of them. We were served by Sakkie who made our tasting interesting and informative, his sense of humor was great as was his jokes. We had a wonderful morning and enjoyed the wine and the experience. It was affordable and great value for money. The Bistro adjacent to the tasting room serves breakfast and lunch if you are peckish.

The wines were very nice and had a very stunning view all around. We had horrible service as we arrive at 3:50pm and they hardly wanted to serve us as at 4:30 they closed.
They refused to open another bottle to finish the wine tasting as it was after four pm, and we basically gone kicked out at 4:20.
Such a pitty the worst service but wines are so good. I definitely will not recommend this to anyone of my friends.
