At Beyerskloof we have a passion for Pinotage and a lust for life, friendship and quality. Every bottle of wine embodies the character and values of Beyerskloof, true to the climate, terroir and community of this special piece of earth.Mission:To produce wines of exceptional character, suited for fine tasters and wine lovers everywhere.Description:In 1988 one of the South Africa's most foremost wine makers, Beyers Truter of Kanonkop Estate, in partnership with other wine lovers, established a wine farm with one ideal: to produce wines of exceptional character.A perfectly situated farm with just the right climate and soil quality was selected in the Koelenhof area, within the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin region of the Western Cape. Coincidence provided an appropriate name. The farm's original name was Nooitgedacht, which for five generations belonged to the Beyers family before Jan Andries Beyers sold it in 1895. Beyers Truter is a direct descendent of Jan Beyers, thus making him the sitxh generation to farm this land. This piece of land could only have one name - BEYERSKLOOF.Today Beyerskloof is South Africa's top selling, most popular and loved producer of bottled Pinotage (South Africa's very own cultivar) and renowned for producing excellent multi-award winning wines of character and virtue. We have a passion for Pinotage and an infatuation with the land, life and friendship.

Some of the other wine farms we visited in Stellenbosch were a bit serious. This one is a bit different. The wine is still good and good value but there's more of a party vibe to the place. Although there is a restaurant, it was closed but there is cheese and salami available to buy. All in all a good... More

We came in late ( 10 mins before closing) to buy some bottles of Pinotage. Even though we got to taste a wine before they closed. Good service.

We all know the wine are very good. We were just disappointed with the attitude when you arrive. First pay for the tasting. I don't mind to pay but the demand was just too much, I bought 3 bottles instead of my usual box or two.

It was great But no welcoming by the staff Or at least trying to get us to taste It's beautifully designed but I have seen better. Beyerskloof never been one of my favorite wines I know there are better wine farms out there this is the only reason I am rating this a 3 star. But of-course you do need... More

It could have been any of 200 but in mid February you have to book the most popular winery lunch spots; but Bayerkloof, far from offering the customary board of cold cuts and local cheeses, offered a full range of starters, tapas, pizzas and mains. Accompanied by the thinnest pizza-like herbed bread, we shared a Mediterranean salad, tricolore, mince meat... More

We were already aware of the Beyerskloof name and some of their products. We were surprised at the variety offered at the tasting. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and poured generous samples. We were most surprised by the excellent chenin/pinotage white blend, unusual and delicious. We were able to move around the cellar tasting room as well as outside... More
