On Saturday, 12 Aug we visited Bergkelder. Although it is very hidden, it is worth the effort to visit the cellar. We did a wonderful salt and wine pairing that blew our minds. The wine was of a great quality and the produce that it...More

We stop by for our wine tasting and it was a good experience. The tour and the wine were great. It's a big wine manufacturing plant, very impressive. We did the salt and wine pairing and the flavor was amazing.

Did this as part of a 6 wine vineyard tasting tour and on this one, did a tour on the wine making wit the tasting at the end. Knowledgeable guide with great insight. Salt caramel and sweet wine anyone?

I tasted the 6 wine combo and my wife tasted the 3 fortified wine (dessert wine) combo. Both was nice but it took to long from ordering to the beginning of the tasting.

I do enjoy visiting good vineyard shop/outlets and this is one of my favourites due the the friendliness and just how well laid out the wines and and the variety available. Priced very competitively there is something to appeal to everyone.
