Such a wonderful environment. We have visited so many wine estates over the last two weeks but this wine estate has something unique. I loved the ambiance, such a welcoming feel like we have come home. Loved the wines and I would recommend this Wine Estate without hesitation. The hosts are friendly and warm and we leave this place with very fond memories of a special time at Ken Forrester Wine Estate.

Had a glorious winter afternoon in the tasting room. Magnificent cheese platter and wine with our charming hostess Jess. Got my hands on a good few bottles of their award winning Old Vine Reserve Chenin Blanc as well as their pricier but delicious Three Halves Red Blend. Definitely recommended !

A day off work to visit this icon of Chenin Blanc, the FMC. You either know or don’t know why this is such a special place. Warm welcome and wonderful family tasting set up - not contemporary or flash - pure wine.

Excellent service and knowledge during a tasting. The 'best of both worlds' tasting is a real winner. I recommed the FMC (old vine as well), and the Renegade and the Gypsy are great reds as well. Excellent experience and value for money.

After about 40 minutes we had only tasted 1 wine. We were a table of 4 and there was 1 other couple waiting to taste, so not at all busy. There was only 1 member of staff doing tastings, sales, answering the phone and doing any and all other admin - poor guy! We will not be back.

Went to estate for wine tasting. Had the platter with the wines. Absolutely fantastic. Would recommend to all who do not have the time to visit large number of estates.

This is a great location to taste some lovely wines. Ken Forrester Chenin Blanc is particularly good, particularly the FMC. Great tasting.

The FMC has been our favorite for many years now. It is one of the world's best, thus always awarded Chenin Blancs. This year, a new wine, Dirty Little Secret, also drew our attentiona and we can highly recommend it. The outside patio/area was nicely upgraded and welcomes guests to stay for tastings.

I'm not sure why I've never visited this winery. But I'm so glad I eventually visited on a beautiful spring day.
I was there primarily to try the different Chenin's, as of course Ken Forrester is the master of Chenin!
However, the very friendly lady in the tasting room, persuaded me to try much more!
The highlight was definitely the one off 'Dirty Little Secret". What an exceptional wine.
I was offered as many wines as I wanted to taste, and lots of information was given for each wine. The whole range is available to taste at just R60, which is waived if you buy 2 bottles
It's a lovely setting inside and you can see through to the cellar.
Definitely include if you are tasting in the Heldeberg area.

We visited Ken Forrester yesterday for a wine tasting, and its was lovely. A very rustic setting on a pretty stoep, lots of red geraniums in flower. The wine tasting was very informal and extremely enjoyable. I loved the Old Vine Reserve Chenin blanc - delicious and my partner , who is normally a Pinotage drinker, loved the Merlot Reserve. A great way to laze away a sunny afternoon.
