Service is not fast but why does it matter when your sitting in the middle of an amazing garden. Food is average so don't expect five star chef like food to hit the table. Great for a sunny day but not so much for a rainy day as all the tables are outside.

Botanical gardens in towns and cities are a boon. They absorb CO2, create oxygen and salve the soul. This one is centrally located and has an unpretentious little eatery beneath the trees.

Spent an hour walking around the gardens- plenty of variety of plants on show and well labelled. Lots of quiet areas to sit and relax. Busy tea room with outdoor seating area. Worth a visit when in town for peace and tranquility.

Lovely small gardens . Various trees and plants to see .Even had the Silver Fern growing in there . There are numerous glasshouses you need to ask staff for a key if you to look in them. Small resteraunt on site . Very relaxing environment .

It is a small garden and initially we thought it would only be worth a brief walk through. In the end we spent almost the whole morning strolling thru, sitting down for a lovely breakfast on an early spring morning while serenaded by Robin chats and Cape white eyes, and continuing on a long walk to appreciate the rare cyclads,... The garden is small but is free. Plants are labeled, and it's a lovely place to relax. There is a cafe, but I didn't use it.

No admission price and a lovely walk! The bonsai exhibit is impressive but it's also worth just strolling around the lovely grounds.
