We had a short 3 night itinerary around the Cape, this was our second stop - the mountain reserve is always a great place to visit, for close up views of Sugarbirds and Sunbirds. It is also very reliable for Protea Canary - we had...More

Very much enjoyed our visit to Paarl Rock. Great views & rock formations. The signal canon remains on site. The first canon would be fired from Signal Hill in Cape Town to alert farmers that a ship had arrived seeking supplies. A series of canons...More

We have driven past Paarl rock hundreds of times - but this time we decided to check it out and we were extremely pleased. The reserve is in great shape and well looked after - vynbos is looking very healthy. There are two nice dams...More

I go to the reserve at least once every weekend. The reserve is reachable by car, allthough you travel by gravel road. Vehicles do have a cover charge to pay, but if you park outside, entrance is free. After a steep hike you reach the...More
