You can discount price from our stay in Old Mill Lodge. We didn't know the Ostrich skin is the second strongest skin. We didn't know that in the mating season, the ostrich's legs will turn pink. Very interesting!

I learned a lot about ostriches in this brief visit and had a load of fun in close proximity to the birds. I hand fed them, I hugged them and they massaged my neck. Although there is no more ostrich riding, I felt it was a good decision not to subject the birds to doing things they are not accustomed... More

Thank you for your kind review... it was not an easy decision to stop the riding as it is a highlight for many visitors, but we realise that the world-wide trend towards less invasive animal handling is worth pursuing. We trust that your experience on our farm will leave you with wonderful memories and insights. Enjoy the rest of our... More

We went to the Ostrich Farm for lunch as part of a tour of the Garden Route. Surprisingly interesting with one of our group actually riding one of these large and almost scary birds. Great entertainment and the lunch was good too!

Had a super time here, the guide was very informative and my wife got to ride an Ostrich. I got to feed them near the end of the tour. We Travelled with the Titan group.

A nice, compact visit packed with interesting facts and fun interactions. Our guide was excellent - knowledgeable, well spoken and made an effort to connect with the whole group. Exceeded our expectations.

We stopped here on the way to the hotel to see and learn about ostriches. They have families and individuals adults and babies. One member of our party was brave enough to try to ride one!

This trip was fun, informative and interactive. We had a great, informative tour, then enjoyed a nie dinner with very good value wine. This place is well worth a visit.

Arrived on the spot at 12h30. Five busses in the parking lot with a bunch of elderly tourists getting out of the last one. Reception desk did not pay us any attention, just caring for lunch menurs for the last bus. Ward on duty advised we had to wait at least 1,5 hr to get any attention. Bye!!

We were please to have the opportunity to visit the farm, but did not feel entirely comfortable with some of the activities the Ostriches were required to perform, although would not suggest that this was in any way cruel.

Thank you for your review. The Cango Ostrich Show Farm has recently taken the initiative and is first in the Oudtshoorn district to stop the riding of ostriches. Our company policies have always been very bird and animal friendly and we welcome the global trend towards less invasive handling of any animals. Please be assured that all the interaction with... Visit was educational and great fun for all the family. All thoroughly enjoyed the experience. In addition, I was particularly grateful that the staff found my camera and subsequently posted it to the UK at their own expense although it was clearly my fault. Huge thank you for this.
