Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

This cave is magnificent, and the amount of free reign you have inside is awesome. We bought the Adventure Tour, which is an added 30 minutes of tour. But not only that, you get to crawl through tight spaces, become claustrophobic, but then realize you...More

When going to the Cango caves please choose the adventurous tour. During this tour boy will need to climb and crawl a little but it is seriously worth it. P.s. Not suitable for claustrophobic persons.

A lovely excursion, but if you are disabled, may be difficult for you. The guides are extremely informative regarding the conservation of these amazing caves.

My husband and I took the 'heritage tour' which is a short easy walk. Another tour, the adventure tour is offered to lean, fit adventure seekers and involves squeezing into tight spaces, crawling and climbing. It takes 90 -120 minutes. The Heritage tour takes 60...More

Well worth visiting these huge and ancient caves (and we're talking millions of years here). Lots of steps, but they and the path are very well maintained and well lit. We had a really good guide, who explained how all the different bits have been...More

Many people take the R62 via Oudtshoorn just to visit Cango Caves and ostrich farms... and this is actually a good reason. Caves are impressive, and there's also adventure track for those who want more thrill. Just think about your body size before entering the...More

Absolutely recommend you see these magnificent caves, whether or not you do the adventure tour. We're glad we chose the adventure add on that involves ducking and squeezing and crawling around some narrower sections. Need to be reasonably agile (we're either side of 50) but...More
