Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

The most beautiful cave I have ever seen. We had a very friendly guide who sold us interesting things about the cave.

The Cango caves are just unbelievable . The guides offer the inclusive tour in various languages and really are passionate about these caves. You need to be reasonably fit to enjoy this tour but well worth it. One of the highlights of our trip.

There are two options for touring the Caves. Firstly, there is the regular tour which is not too challenging - this is the one we chose. Secondly, there is a more challenging version where you squeeze through tight spaces and shimmy on your belly to...More

Very impressive cave and great place to visit. We did the easy tour as we had our two little girls (5 and 2) with us. Even with kids it’s not a problem to walk the tour.

It is a nice cave but if you already know other similar sites such as those in Baleares islands, it can be avoided. If you do not have the experience, Cango Caves are really enjoyable.

We spent a happy hour doing one of the guided tours here. Our guide even illustrated the acoustics by singing a couple of songs in Xhosa! Enjoyable but probably lasted longer than strictly necessary!! The caves are spectacular and the history of the geology very...More

Very knowledgeable guide for the standard tour. Easy walk into the first few chambers of the cave and great history lesson.

I definitely didn’t go through the chimney but what is nice is at the entrance they have a life size model of the space so you can go in and “measure” if you will fit 😊 The guides will also let you know very quickly if... More
