Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

We've seen cave formations in many parts of the world but the Cango Caves present an exciting way to view with their Adventure tour. This involves crawling, squeezing and climbing through a section of caves. Whilst the caves are perhaps not as magnificent as some...More

I travelled with a friend and all the online guides recommend this place. We went not knowing if this was going to be just another cave, but we were pleasently surprise. The cave is really really big!! kilometers and kilometers (only a section is open...More

Did the adventure tour...there were some tricky parts if your body habitus is larger than average size but its not a difficult trail. Cave was clean, well lit, no bats, dry and trails very accessible. However the natural feel of the cave was lost by...More

I thought this would be fun but we were pretty disappointed. We booked this adventure tour for 3:30pm almost a year in advance but they overbooked our group which seemed to cut into the quality of the tour. They flashed the lights on and off...More

Visited the Cango Caves many times before and have not been here for some time. Took our kids on this trip and they loved it. Very in "awe" of the caves! The guide was also very informative. I was looking forward to the lightning show...More

We did the adventure tour at cango caves at 330 rand for both. Our guide was very good. I liked all the lights being turned off to give us an idea of how it would have been when it was 'rediscovered' by the Dutch farmer!...More

We rocked up at 10am on the dot and managed to run to join the 10am tour group. The shorter tours run on the hour and last about an hour. There's a life size model of the gaps you need to squeeze through for the...More

There are two tours to choose from. The basic tour is very accessible, but you need sensible footwear. The adventure tour is for fit agile, possibly experienced, cavers. It's a fantastic cave with excellent guide.
