Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

We arrived early for the 0900 Heritage Tour lasting one hour. A t-shirt is enough, it is warm there. Simple shoes as everywhere is paved or cemented with proper steps. The guide was excellent and informative, bringing humour into the tour. The caves are simply...More

Although I've probably seen better caves these were still pretty cool. What made this a lot of fun was the adventure tour. The guide made it all seem a bit scary and it was a bit. The third adventurey bit (which you can still duck...More

We did the standard hour-long tour of the caves (rather than the 90 minute 'adventure tour' which involved scrambling up and down narrow passageways and were very impressed by the size and scale of the caves. Our guide was great and very informative about the...More

Wow, what a spectacle. We did the Heritage tour with a wonderful guide to see the various halls, passageways and rock formations formed over millions of years. Truly awesome. They have provided clear pathways to avoid damaging the formations and selective lighting to showcase the...More

The cango caves are very impressive and the accoustics are great in the first cave. However seeing al sorts of things in the stalgmites and stalagtites is not my area of expertise.

Our guide was pleasant and easy to understand. The caverns are enormous and contain so many stalactites. We were suprised it was so dry in there. The walkways have been very well laid to give a safe easy walk. We took the 1 hour short...More
