The lagoon is huge and offers amazing views no matter where you are in Knysna.I could sit anywhere around the lagoon and just let it all sink in.If you want some peace and quite go no further than any view point of the lagoon.

This is a beautiful place. So serene, yet so vibrant, and always something new to discover. Catch it when the sun rises, or when the sun sets, and you'll be treated to a magical site. Fantastic wildlife as well.

We went on small cruise on the lagoon. It was a sundown cruise which was a fun and relaxing experience.

The cruise left sharp at 12:30 and was a 1.5 hour trip. Lunch was available on board with drinks for those who love to sip on their Martini and Pinacolada... The cruise was totally worth... More

Beautiful views all around the sea-water lagoon. Good for swimming and boating. Very nice 'beach', which I would think is safe for children, which is hard to find on the beaches of Cape Province. It's some years since I was actually on the 'beach' which is altered from time to time by very high tides which move the sandbar in... More

A vast expanse of water circled by the hills and wooded slopes of the surrounding areas. Gain a little height to get a magnificent panorama view of a magnificent natural lagoon, you will not be disapponted.

When you view the currents around the entrance you can easily see why some many ships have foundered on the rocks. Incidentally we were told that this is not a lagoon at all but an estuary but they does not detract from it's... More
