Knysna is just a beautiful place to visit. This Lagoon, is in fact an estuary, (told by one of our Guides) which is influenced by the low and high tides too. Very relaxing to just clutch out, and reflect. It has a beautiful little Island,...More

We stopped right beside the lagoon and had a swim on a beach which was dead quiet on a sunny Saturday afternoon, the water was warm and clear and the beach lovely and sandy, you would not ask for much more !

The Knysna lagoon is a must see attraction on the Garden Route. The lagoon is popular for picnics along the banks of the lagoon, cycling, fishing and boat rides. The lagoon has bountiful bird life and is great for birding enthusiasts.

The Knysna Lagoon is a very pretty place and you can drive most of the way along either side to the Heads. There are good restaurants at Knysna Quays and there are boat trips availabloe from the marina area.
