Simply breath taking . Was lovely listening to the different animal sounds. Peaceful and tranquil. Loved the info boards with the different tree names.

Visited on a rainy day and saw two birds but eaten alive by Mosquitos. Would not recommend this as a trip

There are 2 distances on this route. I would recommend this for any age group. It is not a difficult walk and is quick and easy. Start with the short route and see how you feel to do the next circled route which is not that further. Toilet facilities are available at the entrance and are clean.

The Garden of Eden is a short forest walk on the N2 just East of Knysna. It is well worth taking the 30 or 40 minutes required to enjoy the forest.

The expectation from the name is put in doubt by the car parking arrangements and the snoozing attendant at the entrance. It is a boardwalk amongst trees. Not much else. You can hear birds; well you can do that anywhere. Disappointing is understating it.

The Garden of Eden walk was beautiful. No entrance fee for the disabled. The boardwalks even made pushing the wheelchair easy. A well thought out place of peace. Good way to spend time for all ages away from the rush & bustle.

This stretch of natural forest next to the N1 asks no effort. Simply stop, and walk through the lush “Garden of Eden”. Beautiful indigenous forests transport one to the days gone by when huge Yellowwood trees and elephants were typical of the Knysna forests. Strongly recommended. Ideal for those who love nature.

The garden is beautiful and well maintained and it is certainly worth the visit. I think of it as food for the soul. The only negative is that it is right next to a busy road and you can hear the noise throughout the garden.

Not the same as Birds of Eden which is the other side of Plettenberg Bay. This along the N2 between Knysna and Plett. Nicely laid out and informative boards. A little pricey (need to buy a walking permit) as under 1 mile but a nice way to get a feel for the real forest.

Many reviewers seem to confuse this attraction with BIRDS of Eden... It is a GARDEN walk among little streams and massive trees with ferns and bridges. It's good for wheelchair users and parents with prams. It's also safe enough to walk with families and small children. Take a few lovely photographs and relax in nature. Try to ignore the traffic...
