Most other reviewers on this site seem to think they are reviewing "Birds of Eden", which is a completely different attraction. This is essentially a figure of 8 boardwalk through the woods, totaling no more than 1.5 km in total. Yes, you can see a...More

On a recent trip to Knysna we decided to stop and visit the Garden of Eden. What a pleasure to be able to view this protected part of the forest up close. The beauty of this area is a must to see and even in...More

The Garden of Eden just outside of Knysna is a wonderful place for the less enthusiastic hikers. A wooden walkway takes you through the Yellowwood forest. The trees are marked and signs will tell you more about the different bird species, etc. With a bit...More

Kidding...If you are a nature lover, this is it. Dense forest, monkeys jumping around from tree to tree, birds singing, river flowing. It was amazing.

OK, It was pretty. But there was nothing special about it if you come from ORegon or Washington, just another temperate rain forest...with nothing special about it.

There is a good Boardwalk through the forest. Information boards about the flora and fauna are placed along the route. There is parking by the entrance.

This is now our favorite place to visit when we are in Knysna. Visited the first time in 2012 and had to go back this year. Feel dwarfed by towering trees and listen to birds and insects in the forest. Take time to inspect everything,...More
