We drove to Tsitsikama and what a site. The experience actually sparked a business idea...selling brown pants to the guys who are about to bungee jump...I'd make a killing from that....

Stunning walk in forest, 3 walks but we enjoyed this most by far. Prize at end of walk is a lovely mountain pool and waterfall. A must!!

Lovely views, exotic eateries and great guest houses, but very crowded over December holidays. Lots to see and do such as game parks, fishing spots and leisure activities Will go the route again when school is on to enjoy the area in peace and quiet

We booked a tour through Bok Bus Tours for seeing this part of SA and so happy we did as all we had to do was show up and they did the driving. Very scenic along the coast with beaches, cliffs, mountain and ocean views,...More

Most beautiful scenic drive I've been on. Last time I drove on the N2, on route to Port Elizabeth, was when I were 15 years old. It felt like it was my first time seeing it. Beautiful.

We decided to drive the entire Garden Route. I somehow thought the drive itself would be more scenic in more places, rather like driving the Pacific Coast Highway in California. This route is beautiful in spots but not in others. That being said, Plettenburg Bay...More

I plan driving the garden route on september. Do you recommend driving east to west, or west to east?

Either way would be fine. It also depends on your destination airport.

Just a question about the park fees as it's not clear on SAN website. We are driving the route from East to West. Do we need to pay separate fees for all 3 areas or is it a case of paying one fee for Tsitskamma and not paying for the others? Which is the best part in case we need to sacrifice something because of the time and extra cost of visiting all 3?

We only visited 1 park (Tsittsikamma Storms River) and there was a fee of R196 about £11
