A very interesting and educational museum.

The photo museum next door is worth visiting too. Lots of information about the history of Hermanus.

The Whale Museum, located in center of Hermanus, is a great option to add to your sightseeing itinerary. It is a small museum with informative and interactive exhibits providing fun for all ages. One of the exhibits included a miniature submarine which you can get into as well as another one where you can listen to different whale sounds. The entrance fee was very reasonable at R30 for adults and R10 for children and as it is close to other attractions and restaurants I definitely think it is worth a visit, even just a quick one.

The many times that I have visited Hermanus and its never rained before, but this was a wet, windy and rainy morning so at last the opportunity to explore some of the local museums.
Delightful, very educational museum, full skeleton of a whale, interactional screens, a great place to bring the children but great for all ages
The admission here gets you into the Photo/local history museum across the square.

The whale museum in the heart of Hermanus is well worth a visit. Although very small it is packed with well presented information on the whales you are likely to see when in Hermanus. Allow approx 15 /20 minutes for the visit

Not a lot to be seen and not particularly well maintained. However, the ticket includes entry into the photo museum which has some interesting photos showing the history of Hermanus. Worth a quick look while strolling around the centre of town.

Very informative, cute little museum. We enjoyed it with our guide Percy from Percy tours. Nicely located in the center of the small Hermanus.

This museum appears to be aimed at children or people who are not very curious. The details on the posters were very sparse and basic. But at R20 - probably value for money.

Small, but informative about all whales in the area. Focus on Southern Right Whales. Two floors, huge skeleton hanging from the ceiling.
