A Military Museum dedicated to the experience of the individual soldier. His story, uniform and equipment. The only kind in South Africa. Guided personal tours for small groups. A very unique experience in Hermanus. “There is no glamour in war, only permanent memories and nightmares for those who were there”Enjoy this experience in conjunction with the historical menu and ambience of De Voorskooten Café.Open 08:00 – 16:00, Tuesday - Sunday

It is always good to see both sides of any story. This museum shows original artefacts that the German soldier depended upon when he went to war - fascinating and an experience not to be missed. Well worth the effort of finding this gem

I visited this museum, expecting to find a few hats in a cupboard, but what an unbelievable surprise. This is one, if not the most complete museums of German militaria in the world. It is displayed in a professional manner with the owner making this...More

A very small museum, basically two rooms, but you would not believe how much history can be crammed into 20 m²... Probably the most extensive exhibition of German WW II memorabilia in the Southern hemisphere. You will see unique uniforms. You will find weapons, certificates,...More
