SIT AND FEEL THE OCEAN MIST TOUCH YOUR HEART
You park in the parking lot and get out of your vehicle and there it is a piece f heaven. You take a walk along the cliff path and all the way there are educational tid bits and information that you never even knew!! Your eye can see as far as the "edge of the edge of the world" and you can see to Gansbaai and the entire bay area. The crash of the surf on to the rocks as you watch little Dassie's run about having their morning snack. You sit along one of the many supplied benches and watch the spray of the ocean dance in the air while the birds swoop overhead. The feeling of been part of such beauty and the breath taking views. You have to see it and experience the walk it is truly wonderful!! Please do not miss going on the cliff top walk - you will not regret doing it!!

    Beautiful
The most beautiful path with different cliff views or beach views around each bend. The houses that sit along this path are stunning also. The whole walk from one end to another is about 9k and it’s just absolutely beautiful. Would love to come back in whale season as can imagine that’s just mind blowing doing this incredible walk and seeing what lies beneath the sea.

    Wonderful Cliff path in Hermanus
The Cliff Path in Hermanus is wonderful! It stretches from the New Harbour at the western end of town all the way to Grotto Beach. It is a great work out route! Up and down and in and out to headlands, beaches, coves. Throughout the trip there are outstanding views. There is a small portion in Eastcliffe where the path has to leave the coast and go along the road, which is a bit boring. Refreshments at one or two little beaches along the way. Wonderful Dutchies restaurant at the Grotto Beach end. Do it!

Great for a couple of hours of walking and fresh air
We went in the whale season and have just returned from Harmanus . Lovely well signposted cliff walk ,where you get to see quite nice coastal views , some small animals and birds along the way and a chance to spot whales in the bay ! We saw a dolphin in the bay but no whales ( late August) . However , we saw many whales from the whale watching boat tour . Lovely restaurants in Harmanus at various points along the cliff walk .

    Stunning scenery
I was only passing through but was incredibly impressed with the walk. The scenery was magnificent and it felt so relaxing to walk along the walk soaking in the crashing waves accompanied by beautiful fauna. I was also lucky to come across some dassies and seals. Only downside was broken beer bottles strewn between the rocks - people can be so inconsiderate.

    Gorgeous views
Great path with stunning scenery, lots of lookout points and benches, and of course whales. Only saw them breaching at Gearing’s Point but plenty around elsewhere on the cliff path. Also large Guinea pig type creatures on the path.

    Gorgeous walk
Fabulous walk! At this time of year the amount of flowers and bird life that we saw was astonishing. The path hugs the coastline and you can walk as far or as little as you want and still get great views. The Dassies are cute, and enjoy sunning themselves on the rocks, and you can sit on one of the many benches and scan the water for signs of whales. We saw at least five, but they were not very close, although great views through binoculars. We had two weeks in South Africa, and we consider Hermanus, and this walk as one of the highlights of our trip. If you are anywhere in the vicinity, don’t pass up the opportunity to visit.

One of my favorite places to go to. Living in CapeTown we often take a trip to Hermanus mainly to soak up the spectacular views walking the cliff path 😎

There is nothing better in my opinion, than walking this great coastal path in the sunshine, with the waves of the sea crashing into the rocks. Stunning scenery.

A stunning coastal walk, with spectacular views around Hermanus. This is a must do! Particularly in the season with whales, we spotted the whales countless times along the walk, along with plenty other wildlife including dassies and tortoise!

This is something that is extremely well done in Hermanus. You could easily walk along the coastal cliff path for more than an hour from the harbour and oast town to Grotto Beach, lovely
