This is an old style parkland golf course with a lot of mature trees. Clubhouse is old but has all neccessary golf facilites, pro shop, bar etc. Staff at this course is very friendly and welcoming. The course was hard and dry due to lack of water, but this does not take away from the layout and beauty of the course. In the afternoon it can be windy, typical of coastal courses. Their pricing is reasonable compared to other courses nearby. Highly recommended and a beautiful challenging course to play

What a gem of a course ! We were warmly welcomed and the hospitality shown to our group was fantastic. Don't miss out playing and enjoying this super course. If you are visiting as part of a group do stay and have a spit braai after, what an experience. Thanks to Leta and team for a great day.

Booked a fourball with carts and hired clubs on boxing day. Everything was well organized and the pro shop was very efficient. The course is set in fantastic surroundings and is in superb condition.

We were a group of 4 couples and some of us were returning after a long absence. We used pull carts and it was relatively easy (we are in our 50's) to go round. We had a stunning day weather wise and the course is in excellent condition. It has a mature parkland layout with many picturesque holes. There is a great variety of holes which adds to the interest and enjoyment of playing here. Would loved to have played again the next day!
Friendly staff in the clubhouse made checking in, the halfway house and a drink afterwards in the bar enjoyable experiences.
The overall experience is good value for money. Long may it last

Played here on Monday, February 26 with 3 members. They made me feel very welcome. Easy to walk the course and traditional in that it doesn't require a buggy and there are lots of trees. The tee-boxes, fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Nice atmosphere in the clubhouse. I had a caddy for the round and he (Nelson) was excellent. Knows more about golf than I do and helped me enormously on the greens. Played 2 other courses in the area and George was much more enjoyable.

An old school parkland course living in the shadows of Fancourt. But not to be overlooked. The course is over 100 years old spectacular trees and some monkeys. Some great holes and good greens. The whole place was a great experience.
This must be the best value golf course on the planet.
Careful the entrance does not have any signs.

This was a lovely course to play with superb views of the mountains. It was a change from the big golf estate type courses and felt like a members course. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were able to book tee times by email without any difficulty. Thoroughly enjoyed our rounds there.

George Golf Club truly ranks very high in my books and in the books of many. In terms of public courses, you will struggle to find a better course in a better area. It has s lovely design with beautiful scenery, providing a challenging yet enjoyable round of golf. Prices are reasonable and so are the membership fees. The restaurant has got good food, but one place where they could improve is to get friendlier people working in the halfway house. George Golf Club: affordable, beautiful and fun!
