As with many other museums the displays are not interactive enough and the kids get bored easily. Huge potential here, but you just get the idea that there is not enough money or the willingness to grow with the times. Worth a visit though.

The George Museum was a bit of a let down. The reception was appalling. No information was offered. I had to ask where to start the tour. No pamphlet was offered. There is no real flow to the exhibition. Rather just a couple or rooms...More
We had some time to spare while waiting to go on the Power van , so we took a look around the museum.
There are some very interesting items to look at... from old trains, classic cars, fire engines.
Loved seeing all the old crockery...More
