Wine tasting and lunch

The views and food were out of this world - worth the trip for the views alone. Wine was tasty - ask for a table outside and thank me later

We have enjoyed lunch here on a number of occasions when visiting the area from the UK. A table on the veranda with stunning views coupled with fabulous food wine and service. Just wonderful.

Having booked months ago, the maitre'd was adamant that there was no booking. On threatening to show her the e-mail confirmation, she suddenly found it. Food at best was ok, my wife's lamb having to be returned to the kitchen as it was stone cold when served. Service erratic and uncaring. In short, give this place a miss as there... More

With one of the most beautiful views in the Boland, and delicious foods, Glen Carlou is a must visit for tourists and locals. Their in restaurant wines are some of the best and most affordable one will find at an estate. Lamb Neck and Cabernet highly recommended.

Unlike most wine farms in the area Glen Carlou is modern and really well appointed. The whole feel of the place is one of luxury and that is mirrored with thier wines which really are special. I am a red wine fan and the taste testing was a real treat! Because we flew to CT we didn't buy wine to... More

We have stopped at Glen Carlou for some wine tasting and have decided to have lunch there. Food is really good and service amazing. Staff is friendly and ambiance great. You can either sit indoor or outdoor with a beautiful view on the vineyards I highly recommend their Glen Carlou Single vineyard wine # BonAppetit

We tried one of their wines when in knysna so decided to drop in for a tasting and buy some bottles. Really nice place, high end finishes. We sat on the balcony with great views! My fiancé and I sat on the balcony and tasted about 6 different wines each and there was no charge for the tasting. Some really... More

We were very excited to go to Glen Carlou as we had heard much about it. We are frequent wine tasters yet the sommelier was terribly judgemental, made us feel like absolute amateurs, was very patronising, cold and extremely unfriendly. The wines are good and the view is amazing but with the atmosphere and pretentiousness we will not be going... More

We were on our way home from another estate in the area when we decided to stop at Glen Carlou. It was late in the day on a Sunday so we were not expecting too much success on the place being open but it was and the staff were very receptive and attentive. We did have two small children in... We were there right after they opened on a Monday morning. Crystal was very helpful and did a personal tasting of their great wines. A beautiful winery.
