About
The Oranjezicht City Farm (OZCF) Market at Granger Bay at the V&A Waterfront is held every Saturday from 08.15 to 2pm and every Sunday from 9am to 3pm. At the Market customers can do grocery shopping (veg, fruit, bread, organic dairy, free-range eggs, honey, muesli, etc), enjoy delicious cooked and raw foods and be inspired about helping to build an alternative food system. The Market is a source of genuinely exceptional local produce; food that is fresh, healthy, seasonal and that builds and that strengthens local economies. However the market is more than just a place to buy food – it’s a place where people come to connect, to share food and awaken their senses. The market is a participant in the wider debates around what we eat and where it comes from; a place where food is talked about almost as enthusiastically as it is consumed. Plants and flowers, vintage collectables, and a small section of clothing is also available.

There is such a nice vibe at the market. It is pet friendly. There is ample shaded seatings. Loads of options for sit-down or take aways.

On a Sunday this place is absolutely jam-packed which doesn't make you appreciate the market part of it all. It is also particularly difficult to order food and find a place to eat the food.

Either be there by the time it opens, or go just before closing time. The catch is the vendors may not be 100% ready with their full variety of products, or later afternoon their stall will run out of food.

What a wonderful time! The food was just perfect and varied...literally anything you could think of from around the world all made by hand for you.
Real nice shops and booths to buy great things.
Come for breakfast and then shop finally returning for lunch!

I truly recommend this place. 1) The food: If you're a foodie like me, you will definitely enjoy this place. It provides a wide selection of foods from various places of the world: Korean, Vietnamese, French cuisines, you name it. 2) Local produce: You get fresh quality products from fruits, vegetables to eggs, honey, cheese, nuts, and even ice-cream, all produced locally in South Africa. 3) Great setting: From the place where the market is situated, you get to experience nice views of the sea. All in all, this place is a perfect venue for family gatherings, and is a melting pot where you can meet different people from various countries.

Very nice, small roofed out-door market (Sat+Sun) at the Waterfront. Great options for buying fresh groceries, yummy bread or to eat on-site at the little foodstands. Also option to buy plants or souveniers. We really enjoyed this weekend market during our stay in CT.

This food market is tucked away behind the V & A but it is well worth finding. There are plenty of stalls selling original food items that you won't find in the regular shops. All the products are so fresh and you can really tell the difference. We tried the alternative pizza's which were lovely and original.

The market is absolutely beautiful and offers a great variety of organic + healthy food and beverage options. We had a wrap, some avocado toasts, coffee, juices, vegan brownies and an acai bowl. Everything we tried was absolutely fantastic (except the acai bowl, this was just average). If you have 1-2 free hours come and walk through the market, try everything you can and enjoy the young & hip environment. Some locals friends recommended us this place and we'd recommend it 100% as well!

I discovered this place by chance while driving around Cape Town exploring the city. I am so glad to have stumbled upon Oranjezicht City Farm, it was a wonderful experience exploring the market. There were so many food options and they had an entire section for other things like biltongs, baskets, vegetables etc which you could buy and bring home. The decor and atmosphere was very festive and lively. It is an excellent day to spend the afternoon. Come with an empty stomach so you'll get a chance to try as many things as possible.
