Interesting look back on the past!!!

On a nice day, just get out and take a wander around this bright and colorful area....keep in the back of your mind what was there some forty years ago!! Makes you think!!

This is a good tourist spot for photographs of colourful houses. Walk down the Wale Street to Long Street and you can then combine this with a pub crawl.

We were lucky to be based there and to be part of 2nd January celebrations but regardless, the colour and people you see make it a photographer's dream.

It's a photographers dream. Yes it's busy and yes people get in the way but It's a an enjoyable half an hour roaming the streets searching for the perfect shot.

A very colourful part of Cape Town to visit. Not too far from the centre. We felt very safe wandering around the streets admiring the colourful houses. If you are travelling by car you can park in the street right in front or nearby the houses. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Go and spend some time there not only to see the houses but also to have a drink, buy some crafts. It is simple but beautiful and interesting from a cultural point of view.

The Bo Kaap area close to the Hilton Cape Town City Centre is great for photos. The colourful houses are beautiful! Stop and walk along the street to take some stunning photographs.

Sure, it's iconic and great to see. But it's hard to get good pictures because other tourists are always walking into your shots, taking their own photos. And it feels a little strange to be walking around taking pictures of people's houses shamelessly, without them directly benefitting. It's a pretty quick activity though, and worth stopping by. Plus a few... More
