As soon as weather permits this is a must do in Cape Town. It took us 3 days before cloud coverage permitted any views from the top of Table Mountain and they were beautiful. We went about 11:00 a.m. and had a small line up...More

It is hard to believe that this tram has been operating since 1929. It is quite wonderful that the cable cars carry water to the top to provide fresh water for the visitors.

Unless you are up to mountain climbing (which we saw some people doing!) this is the best way to get to the top of Table Mountain. It's a fun ride, and the car rotates so no matter where you stand you get views all around.

Enjoyed the ride up and down. Novel rotation inside the car so everyone gets a chance at a window and a forward view.

Hi. Is there any other way to go up Table Mountain aside from the Aerial Cableway? Can I get a cab to go up? I am acrophobic and claustrophobic.

Hi. The only other way up is by hiking one of the three trails up the mountain, with an experienced guide. The Cableway is the only form of motorised transport up. Thanks
