Rhodes Memorial has an interesting part in South Africa's history. The statue itself has been desecrated. Visiting the memorial is worth it to think about different aspects of the country's past.

We went for a quick hike from the Rhodes Memorial today to just below Woodstock cave. Since it's not the safest hiking route, I took my dog with. We did not visit the cave as the last time I went there it was not pleasant-...More

It’s located inside Company Garden. Huge statue for one of the founders of UN. Such a rich guide who used to trade in diamonds. He lived 49 years only.

I took my kids to visit the memorial on a Sunday afternoon and was very dissapointed. The protesting students have rubbed excrement and graffitti all over the place, they are aggressive and unpleasant and there are way to many drunk people there. No security at...More

This is prime location to view the city. Cute cafe on the backside of Rhodes memorial where one can enjoy a beverage or two. We did not go with a guide, but drove ourselves.
