The bronze statues of African Nobel Prize winners is located within the V&A Waterfront, usually a hub of activity. We saw many entertaining impromptu dance/singing groups performing in front of the statues. Good photo opportunity!

A nice place to sit and contemplate the lives of the 4 South African Nobel peace prize winners. Get an ice cream from the nearby stalls!

This is a lovely little square by the market area at the Cape Town waterfront. You can sit and get photographed with statues of the architects of peace following the end of apartheid.

Spent a few minutes thinking about each of these men who played such a part in the modern history of South Africa. Was glad for the reflection.

Perhaps the best part of the water front, assuming you don't want to be part of the normal touristy stuff.

It's also a nice way to discuss South Africa's history by its Nobel Prize winners. They're there for different reasons, and I question why FW de Clerk is there at all, but it does provoke the discussion. Worth a photo when in the area.

There were many people, tourists and locals, enjoying this area. It looks exactly like the featured photograph, with the waterfront right there and majestic Table Mountain in the background. Most people seemed to be posing with the Nelson Mandela statue, and of course, Robben Island...More
