We were hesitant to hike there after recent attacks in the area but we had a guide and felt very safe. Did an easy 10km hike followed by a swim in the cool clean reservoir. A stunning day out.

For ramblers the Silvermine provides a fine display of Fynbos and Birdlife. It is not too rigorous unlike Table Mountain

Took a hike up to Elephants Eye with a group of 8 friends. Stunning scenery and a fairly easy hike. Please be aware of your surroundings and stay safe. Never hike alone here. 4 or more is the ideal number for a hike.

Lovely reserve at the northern end of the Cape peninsular, great views north over Cape Town, east to False Bay, south towards Cape Point and west over Nordhoek bay. Good hiking, biking and swimming.

Went on recommendation of local to do 'reservoir' swim. Day was misty and raining and I was the only one to brave the reserve to make my way to the reservoir. The reservoir is approx 250-300m long and was shrouded in mist. I lowered myself...More

Make your way to the dame at Silvermine West and walk the trail known as the Noordhoek Peak Circuit. The walk is along a road so fairly easy although steep gradients in places. Be sure to venture off the road to capture shots overlooking Norodhoek,...More

Unfortunately there is no public transport. The best would be to use Uber.
