About
Though the beach is still popular, the elegant splendor that once graced this seaside resort community barely shows through the paved-over streets, fast-food eateries and shopping centers.

Muizenburg is a must see when you drive around Chapman's Peak. The wide, white beach is a sight to behold and the colorful beach huts an attraction in itself.

One of the best beaches in the country (if not the world) to learn to surf... easy waves for beginners and lots of expert help on hand, surf lessons, surf shops etc. Great eateries too abound

This is my favourite beach in Cape Town. It is full of young families, couples, surfers young and old, and beach walkers. I visit here every weekend, and love walking on the beach before getting a cup of coffee and watching the surfers, or eating...More

Really good cultural experience and nice to take pictures by the colourful wendy houses, but, its not the greatest beach around. Surfing is popular here, but if you want to tan, and enjoy, rather head to Clifton or Camps Bay.

This beach is best known for the colorful houses but it is also a great spot for surfers. There are some great restaurants nearby.

Muizenburg beach and the surrounding restaurants are a good place to visit. The beach is clean and is very popular. We even tried a surfing lesson which was great fun.

Whatever you do when visiting this beach or any other for that matter, do not walk beyond the huts or any isolated part of the beach. Stay in areas with people. We were held by knifepoint at muizenburg beach on 30Aug at 11:20am. By the...More

A nice little beach that's good for surfing or for sports photography enthusiasts, but a bit dry (pun intended) if this isn't your thing. The walking route from here to Cape Town is supposed to be quite nice although a few friends of mine did...More

The other bus company Golden Arrow might go that way. There is always the train but only if you’re adventurous as it is apparently dangerous.

Yes it is but park as close as possible to the beach where there are “car guards” who are reliable.
