Arrived at the end of the Chapmans Peak Drive to find a wonderful white beach and panoramic views across the bay. Lots of expensive looking houses on the hillside overlooking the bay and lots of touristy shops and restaurants lining the beach, but far enough...More

Nice, but a lot of tourists who go by boat to see the colony of seals. And a lot of people who want to make money from approaching the tourists.

Loved the visit to houtbaai, two Kaapse klopse singers entertained us with Afrikaans songs, we fed a tame seal, went on a boat to seal island and had fish and chips at one of the local sink shoppies.

Limited restaurants, shops, coffee bars... but a nice place to enjoy a quiet meal or drink. Very scenic, white sands, clear water.

If you drive down to the Cape, likely you will drive thru Houk Bay. It is beautiful. We passed thru both coming and going to the Cape. The sunset views along the Chapman's Peak Drive looking towards Houks Bay was spectacular.

You can take a spectacular drive to Hout Bay and Chapmans Peak. Do not miss this drive, but, please have someone else do the driving so that you won't miss a turn or curve...keep your eyes on the scenery!

We stopped here to take the tour out to Seal Island. What a fantastic experience. The views back towards the bay are not bad either.

Hi. Hout's Bay is some kind of village by the sea. You will definitely then need a car to go to the waterfront and back.
