The Square is the place to come if you want to browse around the market stall where you can get lots of mementoes of your stay in South Africa. Also quite a few bars, coffee shops and restaurants.

Really enjoyed the market. Good variety of art and collectibles at a good price. You'll have to barter but don't be afraid to, it's expected! People were friendly but everyone wanted you to buy something - so something to be aware of. There were some...More

But negotiate to get a good deal or you could pay too much. There is also a street off the square that offers higher end stuff.

Officially, 9am-5pm, but they'll sell earlier if you're there with money and they'll start closing up at 4 if it's a slow day.

9 to 5 according to their website. Be cautious and watchful in this area. We witnessed a necklace snatching and credit card theft just feet from the market perimeter. Once inside the perimeter security is tight.
