Nothing beats a walk in fresh air revelling in the beauty of trees, flowers and the scurrying squirrels. if you lucky to work in the city centre like I do, a walk at lunch time is a treat. If time permits have lunch/coffee at the restaurant

The gardens are very pleasant. Check out the medicinal garden. The museum is at one end of the garden and the old 'tool shed' which later morphed into governors house. The squirrels are very entertaining!

Walking through these beautiful gardens is a joy. Gorgeous plants, historic ones too like the oldest apple tree in the land, and a new area being planted with herbs and veg as it would have been in colonial days, a statue of Rhodes (very controversial nowadays in UK, but important part of local history). Close views of Parliament buildings, statue... More

What a find in the centre of the city, lovely for a stroll through the gardens. There is a cafe situated in the gardens for a morning coffee.

We were here on May 1st & were disappointed that the Cathedral was closed - however the Gardens made up for this - lovely walks & interesting features - the Delville Wood monument was of interest as we have been to the battle site itself - it was great to see Capetonians chilling in the gardens on the holiday ...

This park is one of the most beautiful urban parks/gardens I've visited. Full of birds, friendly squirrels, and plenty of beautiful trees and plants. It's safe and peaceful. Simply unmissable

The Gardens is a gem! Take 5 steps and you feel like you are miles away from the city rush. Beautiful gardens and loads of squirrels to keep the young (and old!) ones entertained. I would avoid walking alone, but it is safe for couples and families. Plenty of people, but it doesn't feel over crowded.

Beautiful gardens even though they were experiencing a drought. It had a duck pond, lots of beautiful flowers, and beautiful trees.

The companies garden is a gem in the heart of Cape Town. Beautiful historic buildings, historic plants, beautiful flowers an art gallery and a lovely cafe. When I visited families were picniking on the lawns. The cafe should not be missed.
