Just a small touristy market with a lot of similar and pricey stuff. Every shop offers clothes and jewelry. Nothing special. I recommend to watch the tourists while bargaining, its much more interesting than to look for things for your own.

Walking around from Sea Point on a Saturday morning found this charming local food market and great place for a brunch. Really interesting mix of things on offer and plenty of people sampling dishes on trestle tables.

This is a great spot for local souvenirs. There are several ATMs in the areas that are not considered safe. So make sure you ask your hotel ahead of time where you should go. Make sure you negotiate on the prices of goods.

Items sold are almost all the same. If you go to one kiosk, you may as well have gone to all of them. Caveat: bargain hard! But the t-shirts guy that sell Mandela's and Biko's images,I believe, is the only exception. it is near our...More

Great place to visit if you want some African souvenirs. As it is a market be prepared to bargain but ultimately what you pay is what something is worth to you. Stall owners are pleasant, obviously looking for a sale but not overly pushy....go and...More

Good place to buy souvenirs. You can find handmade bracelets, necklaces, etc and you can negotiate prices. You may find some African musical instruments as well which I found very interesting.

We got a lot of great souvenirs but the vendors were very aggressive. We found a shop at Waterfront that sold a lot of the same things for about the same price without the aggressive sales pitches. They barter a lot and they will start...More
