A very romantic way to see Cape Town from above, especially at twilight as the lights flicker over the city. I could have done without the very expensive photographs at the end (double the cost of the ride) but was still on a 'high' as...More

Sounds like you had a lovely night ride, thank you.

At about R180.00 for 20 minutes it is pretty expensive. But the view of Cape Town from the top is quite amazing as is the technology and engineering that propels the Cape Wheel.

Tickets are only R120. But I am glad you enjoyed the views, and you are right, it is an amazing machine when you think about it.

Good idea! Sip on a cocktail while you enjoy the view...

The view is great. It's worth doing, but you are entirely enclosed and hence the experience is a little tame for a Ferris wheel.

VIP is rather fun, sipping on a glass of bubbly while taking in the view. Also the ride is longer so you really get to stay a while and relax.

We road it at night. They send you around four times. The cost was about $12.00 American dollars. It was fun, but our group was part of what made it fun. I would call it a frivolous thing to do depending on your funds.

We really enjoyed our recent experience. Gives a nice perspective of the Waterfront. The nicer the weather the better the experience.

Not worth the money. Went at night and couldn't see much. Waited for a while although the wheel was 1/4 full. When we finished, they didn't have the picture they had taken prior to getting on the ride. Seems not organized and ran by teenagers...More

We apologise for you having a bad experience, it's highly unusual. I cannot comment on the photography issue as that is run by a separate company but I will be sure to pass this on to them. And be sure to look out for our...More
