About
The story of our tour company is one I often share with clients, and after 10 years in the tourism industry, I’m proud of where this journey has taken us. Coming from a small town in the hinterlands of Africa, I was always curious about the world and other cultures. It spurred my passion to become a tour guide in Cape Town. Over the years, I formed connections with clients, and after much encouragement from one of them, I ventured into the world of tour operators and started my own company.

Outstanding tour of Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve

We researched in advance and though many companies do a tour to the Nature Reserve/Cape Point/Penguins, etc, we noticed that Cape Archives had overwhelmingly good reviews so booked with them. We weren't disappointed. Danson was an excellent and good natured guide throughout the day, providing lots of interesting information, spotting wildlife and taking photos of the people on our shared trip. He didn't rush any of us and we were on the tour for about 11 hours! A great day to remember at the start of our holiday. We recommend paying the 100 rand to go on the boat to Seal Island -it was wonderful. We elected to pay the entry fee for Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach to Cape Archives in advance which was convenient, but it's actually a bit cheaper to pay those yourself on the day

If you are visiting South Africa you need to use this company. They are excellent. Knowledgeable, professional well connected and excellent value for money.
We are a family of 5 and had 3 days staying in Cape Town. I asked Cape Archives Tours to pull together a private tour for us showing us the best of the area. Our tailored itinerary included a Cape Town city Tour, a tour of the cape of good hope, (inc Boulders Beach, Seal Island) a trip to Franschhoek wine Tram and Stellenbosch wine tour and Robben Island Tour. What also set this experience apart was the amazing driver/guide Danson. He was so knowledgeable and so well connected he made everything so easy.
Each day we were picked up in an immaculate car, lunch reservations were made at the best restaurants and the day ran like clockwork. I need Danson in my life at home!!!

Do this tour if you want to see and learn a lot

Our trip with Candice and Kalvin was amazing. We were picked up at our hotel at 7:45 am and were brought back at around 7 pm. Candice really taught us a lot about the places we were going and even many things about South African history. Kalvin‘s driving made us feel safe all day. We met amazing people in our tour as well!

If you are looking for a hassle free tour to the most important places, then we really recommend this tour. Cape Point is stunning and the next time we are planning to go again.

What a great day we had with Albert! He was so friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgable and knew almost every answer that was asked to him. Sometimes i find small tours awkward but coupled with a fantastic group of people on the tour it was one of our best days on our holiday. Seriously do this tour and hope Albert is your guide! We loved you! :)

Great service!

We hired a driver for the day from Cape Archives and were thrilled with the service. They were immediately communicative and took in all we wanted to do for the day (including Caoe of Good Hope, Boulder Beach as well as several other stops before getting us to the airport for our flight), confirming we could get it all done and letting us know how long it would take. Our driver the day of (Tenashe) suggested several improvements to the flow of stops and provided great recommendations on how best to enjoy each one. He was patient and flexible, stopping for many requested photo opportunities as well as letting us linger longer in a few spots as we enjoyed the day. Fantastic service that I would highly recommend go my recommend!

Best Trip

Booked a trip for my Godparents to go to Cape Agulhas. There were some hiccups as no driver was available but Pauline went out of her way to make it happen. The trip was thouroughly in enjoy. 10/ 10 recommend Pauline and her Team!!!

Amazing experience with Stellenbosch and Franschhoek full day wine tour

We had such a great experience with the full day Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine tour with Natasha from Cape Archives tours!
Visited 4 beautiful wineries (Tokara was the absolute highlight), rode the wine tram, had amazing lunch and enjoyed the spectacular views throughout the day. We all felt very welcome at every place along the tour and and really enjoyed the wine and chocolate pairing at Lanzerac (they kindly provided apple and grape cider for the kids to enjoy the pairing too).
Comfortable air-conditioned minivan, smooth trip, and special thanks to Natasha who was such a knowledgeable host. We liked this so much that booked the Cape Town and surrounding region tour the next day.

Boulders Beach

An amazing half day tour to Boulders Beach. Thank you Kelvin, firstly for being such a lovely person and secondly for being such an informative guide, your knowledge on the history of Cape Town was superb, you are truly an asset to the Team. Bo-Kaap and the Penguins were my personal favourites. Most definitely a tour worth taking.

Great well organised and enjoyable day

We had Mario as our driver for the day. Mario arrived early for our trip so he was ready and waiting when we were ready. Mario was throughout the day polite, friendly helpful and thoughtful. Unfortunately we were not able to drive chapnans peak due to winds closing the road. Mario did everything we asked and suggested some more eg ostrich farm.
Maria was good company and chatty.
cannot reccomend Mario highly enough.

Perfect tour

We had a great day with Alain. He advised us to visit Table mountain, though it was not in our program, and that was the best decision. Very interesting guide, careful driver and pleasant man, he helped us with some our problems and we booked next tour with him. Highly recommend
