We visited on 4 January 2020 with our kids and grandchildren, 3 babies who are between 2 and 11 months old. First of all the DJ lowered the sound of the music on our request as we thought it might be too loud for the 2 month old baby. Then a manger came to inform us that that was actually not allowed, but he secured another space for us where it was quit and in the shade where the old food court was. He then sent two helpers who helped us move all our bags and prams to the new spot. The manager came around later in the day to ensure we were still OK.
Then the lady at the ladies opened the wheelchair toilet for me when she noticed I was going to change back into my clothes, even though I am not disabled.
To top it all, an attendant at the bus line took us out of the line and assisted us, putting the prams and bags in the next empty bus' luggage area and allowing us to take our seats before it moved to the pick-up point to allow the other passengers to embark. This service was excellent and unexpected, and I wish management could comment those who helped in that way. It is service like this which make our country's attractions so popular. THANK YOU GUYS AND GIRL, we'll be back!

Fun day out with the kids. You pay one entrance fee per person and all rides are included. They have other activities within the waterpark which are charged additionally, for example, an obstacle course above the beach/waves. This looks like heaps of fun. The rides are well organised and are all manned by friendly, professional staff. The entire resort is well looked after, with the water and beach being cleaned regularly. You may not take any of your own food or drinks into the park but there is a restaurant and heaps of beach bars. You can hire lockers for your personals and towels are also available for hire. The beach is full of beach chairs, so you can laze around any enjoy the sun. If you come late, you could struggle to find a chair but there are loads. It's a very fun day out with the kids. I can definitely recommend it. If you're going for the day and coming from Gauteng, arrive early and leave at least two hours before sunset, as the road is not good at all.

This is a great place to have a weekend away with your family or your loved. The pool is exciting and the public is always going crazy with the waves. You can also buy some cocktails or local beers by the Bars.
To enjoy the area, move around and see all the activities offered and too many are included in the entrance fee. Most people just arrive anbd stay by the pool, they dont know of the adrenaline tube activities up the area.
This is fun at its best and it can also be enjoy by the little ones who are risk takers. Bring your Bikini and enjoy, dont bring your jeans, no one is there to judge your body. Everyone ie there for fun, just get wild!

The area is really well arranged and it does what it says; great waves every now and then.
However; whilst the valley is accessible with wheelchair ramps, the sunbeds on "the beach" do not allow any handicapped person to sit on; it's basically just a back rest leaving you sitting in the sand.
The transport within the Resort will take you from your hotel to the Valley of the Waves, but still leaves a fairly long way to walk to the beach; again - not ideal for movement impaired people who don't use a wheelchair.

Take note of the many rules. Strictly no food or beverage can be taken in and the guards will check. Baby products are ok. No cash anywhere inside. Credit or Debit cards only and you cannot sign to your hotel room. Vouchers can also be used. The only place to sign on your room is the Brew Monkey Restaurant. You cannot get towel rentals and instead have to buy your towel or bring your own. There are also certain shallow sections of the waves pool to avoid as the surface is very badly torn and could cut your feet. This is mainly near the food court area. Otherwise the area is clean, lots of life guards and loads of drink and ice cream stations.

I love going to sun City and thoroughly enjoy the slides and facilities. My issue is with the lifeguards who are all very unfriendly, unhelpful and dismissive when we enquire about the various slides and which tubes to use, etc. A better attitude would make a major difference.

This place is absolutely awesome. A perfect paradise get - away. Newly renovated and a complete new look enhances the beauty of this holiday venue. The man made beach is stunning with waves, that is a surfers dream. The open spaces complemented by beautiful maintained gardens makes this place a heaven on earth. A must visit for all sport and water lovers.

One of the main reasons we booked a weekend away at Sun City was to visit Valley of the Waves. This was the one place my children wanted to visit.
Unfortunately, the Valley of the Waves was closed. The website said that it was open and we also asked numerous staff members. We received several different answers from the people we asked.
We were extremely disappointed.

We visited the valley of the waves in December with family from the UK & Australia. We were very impressed with how clean the venue was & the constant attention to keeping it clean.
It was very busy & we really enjoyed ourselves.
You do need to get there early in order to get a nice place to settle for the day and I advise you to change before you get there as change rooms & toilets are all in one. On busy days these are a nightmare and not nearly big enough and of course you will always get those inconsiderate visitors.
Overall a must visit and well done to Sun City and all your hard working staff.

Well maintained water park. Always worth a visit to the valley of the waves. They have introduced 2 new slides which are excellent- including the vertical drop closed slide - and they are very much up to international standards.
The life guards don’t care much however and really don’t care about anything going on in the park

Hi
Am I allowed to bring my photography equipment(flash light soft box and camera ) on the premises ?

If you stay at any accommodation including timeshare, hotels, the entrance to Valley of the Waves is free as far as I know. I am not sure of the cost if you are just a day visitor to the attraction.
