We had a nice afternoon with Themba: great guy who knows a lot about the birds of Southern Africa and has a unique spotting eye. If you like birding, highly recommended!

Themba had arranged to meet with me at my holiday accommodation at 5.30 am and he was bang on time. We birded the local forest in St Lucia as time was tight. In the four hours spent together we notched up an impressive bird list, including lifers in the form of Livingstone's Turaco, Green Malkoha, Woodward's Batis, Olive Sunbird, Brown-throated... More

We had an absolutely awesome day birding with Themba around St Lucia on Sunday the the 30st of October 2016. We recorded over 100 bird species in a day- a record for us! Themba is an excellent guide both for birds and other wildlife and has amazing skills to spot birds and identify them by their different sounds. We started... More

We have birdied with Themba and actually had him as our birding partner for Birding Big Day as part of one of the official iSimangaliso teams. Our family has birdied with him on many occasions and he has been an impeccable guide and companion.

Themba's brief: take four interested-but-amateur South African bird-watchers on a general, introductory walk around St. Lucia. In three hours, he hit the mark in a big way. Everyone afterwards was saying how knowledgeable he was and how impressed they were with his bird calls. Highly recommended and his rates are very reasonable. If we had more time, we would certainly... More

Themba is incredibly knowledgeable about birds - and everything else in the local area (if I had had time, I would have gone kayaking with him as well), he is a real "eco warrior" in the best possible sense, passionate about wildlife and eager to share his knowledge, but in a low-key and accessible way. During our 3.5-hour walk we... More

Themba took me to 3 different locations in St Lucia to see different bird types. His in-depth knowledge, and ability to imitate bird calls made it a fascinating couple of hours. I particularly liked the area between the sea and lake where we saw large waterbirds like flamingos and yellow-beaked storks and pelicans, as well as a range of beautiful... More

Thank you, Themba, for a most insightful and exciting morning of birding! Not only did Themba find most of the specials we were after, he drove us in his own car to Cape Vidal! Definitely a must do for all birders!

A group of us did a Wetlands birding tour with Themba. His knowledge of birds was excellent and his imitation of bird calls was amazing. He was informative about the overall eco system and his knowledge on the flora and fauna was great. We live in KZN and will certainly use Themba as a guide in the future.
