    A must-see!
Chose to go with Saga to South Africa and the Kruger National Park. A wonderful experience! The accommodation at the loges was first class, and the game drives (often two per day) had the benefit of local guides. Wildlife abounded. My husband was delighted by the abundance of birds. And the Big Five were stunning. I would recommend this trip to anyone. We’re going back next year!

    Self-guided Kruger
I look forward to other reviewers' response... we last visited Kruger awhile ago. It was magical. We took 10 days moving from camp to camp , staying in rondawels and mostly sitting quietly waiting for the animals to emerge wherever we went. Our only less-enjoyable day was the last when we took a guided tour. Whenever there was a "sighting" the radios crackled and a dozen vehicles descended on the hapless animals, with scores of people sitting backward to get a selfie with them. We had already seen the Big 5 on our own, as well as 2 leopards, one in the act of making a kill, We wanted quiet reflection, not pandemonium! We would like to recreate the experience of our first 9 days, but I cannot seem to find information by typing "Kruger" and "self-guided" without a combination of self-guided + guided tours. Does anyone know if that experience is still obtainable these days? Thank you!

    Do a self drive!
Amazing place! We stated at a hotel in Nelspruit (about an hour away) and rented a car for the self drive experience. I've used a tour guide in the past and I can honestly say the self drive experience is better. We saw all of the Big 5 I'm the first two days and while the tours stayed on the main roads, we drove the side roads and had a lot of the views to ourselves. Amazing experience and well worth the week long stay.

    Kruger National Park
A lovely holiday if you a nature seeker. We used the historical R66 route from Durban past Vryheid to Nelspruit. The roads are much quieter however you don’t have proper toilet stops. Once in Nelspruit, you can rest any one of the many accommodations available. From Nelspruit to Kruger National Park entrance is about 1.5 hours and your touring can start.

Kruger National Park does not disappoint !
My favourite part was seeing the animals in their natural habitat and photographing them. This Park is amazing, period! I could have stayed there and did a safari everyday for the rest of my life. I didn't want to leave, seriously! The tour guide I had from "Moving on African Ground" was fantastic, the company went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great time in KNP. I loved it so much that I'm going back in December!

    Safari time in Kruger
Having selected a most knowledgeable safari guide, the two days of photo-safari excursions were excellent. The success of this endeavour is greatly dependent on the local guide. A hint, look for a guide with several years of experience. Should you find one named Bobby, you can expect a great time and a very positive experience finding many different animals in their natural habitat.

    Amazing wildlife in natural habitat
This time, we started at the very north of the Park and wended our way south to Crocodile Bridge. Our first camp was Punda Maria (no electricity because of the load shedding and the generator wasn't working) then on to Mopane. Here we did a sunset drive before settling for the night in our bungalow. However, it was not a restful night as there were bats in our bungalow that kept walking over my face. I convinced one to move over to the door, which I opened to find another one waiting to come in! Next camp was Olifants, where we were supposed to do a night drive but this one was cancelled and replaced by a sunrise the following morning. Then on to Skukuza, where we managed to do a night drive. Here we lodged in a tent, which was obviously less comfortable than our previous bungalows as the WC was in a block sufficiently far away to get completely soaked on the way! (Rainy season, I know!) On to Crocodile Bridge, the only camp with no restaurant. We had a wonderful time in the park and loved the encounters with the animals. You never know what will appear around the next corner. Unfortunately, many of the tracks were closed because of the heavy rains so sometimes we had to make long detours. We self-drove in a rented car and, as mentioned, did several drives organised by the various camps. Some of the rangers were more interesting than others but all did their best to find us some amazing wildlife. I love this place and although there can be organisational problems, I would return tomorrow if I could!

    Amazing!!
Amazing experience! Maybe the top in South Africa! You shall definitely do the Jeep game drives, all the three of the them( morning, evening, night). We saw many animals in their natural environment and was lovely. If I could, I would spent more days staying also in other camps.

Kruger National Park is an addiction!
I don’t have words to explain the thrill and buzz of watching so many different animals in their completely natural habitats be it a lion walking right next to your car or a leopard peacefully relaxing on a cliff far away. A must visit destination to experience wildlife in its original untouched form. I was very lucky to have encountered 4 out of The Big Five. The only regret I have that I spent only a days in this paradise, I was left craving for moreeeee.

Kruger is a world-class National Park with an amazing amount and diversity of animals. The facilities are fantastic and there are many options for each budget. The park is well signed and well maintained. It is arguably the premiere game park in the world and is a must visit. It should be on all bucket lists.

Always amazed by the beauty of the park. We visit regularly as we moved near the park for retirement. Will never get bored of the beauty of nature. Best times for viewing are early(and I mean early!) and after 4 pm. Open your eyes and enjoy...

Over the pAssed few days myself and my son have been exploring different sections of this incredible place, the area has been the very low section which on other visits has been neglected, as mainly go into the higher parts, so far it appears you are totally on your own with many other people tending to only look for the main animals or the big five our mission was to seek the smaller animals which many forget are what help make this unique park what it has become today, this is our discovery so far : very small tortoise, size approx six inch, by four wide, you have to look, also a tiny one which was right in the Centre of the road making his way slowly right over this road, size of half a cricket ball, so that’s tiny but was making his trip while cars zoomed by totally unaware, even when we tried to show them? Over the next few days l will report my findings , so enjoy this special place like we will again this morning

KNP was above and beyond our expectations. We saw everything we had hoped to see and more. Our driver and guide was amazing, his knowledge of the park was phenomenal. We still can't quite work out how he spotted the green Boomslang snake in a tiny hollow of a tree!
It rained torrents on our first full day out but we just wrapped up in blankets and waterproof ponchos, laughed about it and carried on. It paid off: elephants, giraffes, rhino, zebras, impala, lions and a leopard.. heaven! Not forgetting the numerous beautiful birds.
A huge and very special thank you KNP team, we hope to see you again one day

A wonderful experience - We last visited Kruger in 10/16 during a major drought and saw nature in perhaps its most brutal form, but fascinating just the same. This time, the park was lush by comparison, with abundant wildlife in all its forms in the Park.

Beautiful park in south africa. If you are lucky you can see all big five, a two day trip is high raccomanded. Cost 23 euro pro person operation hour 6:00-18:00 the principal area is Skukuzuka with restaurant, hotel camping area, and shops, and fuel station. Only in the center with shop you can find mobile phone service. Sometimes electrical blackout are possible

I was booked in for an overnight stay in Pretorius Kop in a bungalow. I was given a chalet that was inferior to what i booked and paid for. I have complained direct with the reception and their head office. All my complaints have been totally ignored. Beware anyone booking accommodation in Kruger Park. The service is very bad and complaints are totally ignored. A very sad and sorry condemnation of one of South Africa's prime attractions.
